In many cases, accusations are launched against many players in the Complaints and Application forum, in some cases, the accused are guilty, while in others, they aren't.
What I am suggesting here, is that there should be some mechanism by which the accused will be informed of the case through some means, for e.g. a PM in their inbox. This will give them an opportunity to defend their actions.
This could have variety of applications. A good example is afking in combats. Many players are constantly being reported for the same. Many are even fined for it. But what if someone has been fined due to some technical issues, for e.g. power failure? Yes, they can appeal against the decision later, but it is a lot of headache for them with seldom yielding good results. Such a mechanism will assure that the accused can provide relevant proofs to support their innocence. |

I am not talking about an advocate system, just a simple PM by admins or mods (or automatically generated in some way) to make the players aware. |

Not many people bother to do so, nor can a rule be made to make it necessary. Hence 2 possible solutions:
1. The mods moderating that forum send a PM to inform the accused of the complaint.
2. A new division be made who will be responsible solely to inform the reported players.
3. A particular format be made which should be obeyed while reporting a complaint. Thus, the game itself can extract the person involved from the complaint and then send them a PM.
For eg. this could be a sample compulsary format to report players:
Nicknames of Accused:[Nickname separated by semicolon]
[Content]
Now, a mechanism has to be made that whose so ever name is present in the nickname column, the game will automatically send a PM to that player, like the one we receive when our forum thread is moved. |

If those names were made searchable, it would be less posts for the admins look at because there are probably many double posts. |

That is the best thing which can be done till the admins do something regarding this, which I guess will take a long time considering the more important priorities to look after.
Also, people who are reporting will mostly not inform the accused, since they are usually angry at them for the case. so mods are the best people to do that. |
I don't know about you guys but i have been doing it for long. It is the right thing to do to inform all about the rules.
But i believe there is a part which you are wrong. most of the main characters are not blocked right away. one of my friends got to -500,000 gold and not blocked. and a lot were cleared with repaying. only the multis are surely blocked.

No one, to my knowledge, has been blocked for receiving "too much" gifts. It does draw attention, though, and all your illegal activities will be made known to the admins... |

Like who? Care to give specific examples and proof? I saw your thread about wiz_king and the blocks that followed. No one there was blocked for the "gifts" they received from wiz_king. They were blocked for different reasons. |
