For the lightning spell:
No talent: Damage = 11+11*Spell power
Basic chaos magic: Damage = 13+13*Spell power
Advanced chaos magic: Damage = 15+15*Spell power
Expert chaos magic: Damage = 17+17*Spell power
If you cast against neutrals, then don't forget to apply the wizard bonus as well. |

yes. but some case it is no.exmaple a lvl 5 DE without building maic school can use talent to enhance spike . wiz can use nature talent for enhance punch. |

Any chaos spell requires a certain level of the magic school built. For example,
magic arrow and spikes: magic school 1, at level 5
lightening: magic school 2, at level 8,
fireball: magic school 3 at level 10,
etc...
If you don't have any of the magic schools built, then you won't be able to use any of the chaos spells to begin with. So, of course even if you select the basic chaos talents (but without the magic school built), there won't be any improvement since you just can't use the spell.... |

No. Unless you think an increase of the dmg of the spells you already have is useless. |

Each and every chaos spells requires a certain magic school first, in order to be able to use it.
You can't use the chaos spells without building the corresponding magic school.
So "yes", any (basic/advanced/expert) chaos talent is useless without at least the magic school 1 built. |

this was wrong in case of DE. they have spike form lvl1. they can use basic talent at lvl 5 (before building magic school 1 :P) |
