I have mixed feelings about these announcements to be honest. Alt classes and a rather funny event is one thing, but giving the edge to players inside MCs on an overall game basis (both PvP and PvE) and the obsession on a "event" that turned out a game feat, is another...
The game is becoming more forcing to play so as to be competitive and i dont know if this is for the benefit of the game, since we, the players of this game liked it because it was more relaxing (personal opinion). I dont want this game to become like the "log-in-everyday" games or like the massive subscription based MMO, that you need to be in a guild to enjoy serious benefits... |

for more than 5 years LWM was just a game we spend some time in it.
now its upgraded to something we live with, forget about other games, even stealing time from RL :d |

Perhaps you misunderstood my post. I meant that I left other games after I found out it was just way too time consuming, and somehow had a negative effect on my RL. If lords goes that way too, I'll quit this last one too. Feeling forced to log in daily to do wathever it could be just to stay competitive is not something I will accept anymore. |

That makes sense, but sadly that is not how I feel.
For me it is a matter of direction the game is heading that I don't like. I want to participate an has done so in the past.
But this need-2-play that is now is not fun, especially not for 2+ months and the alternative to have to deny myself being part of an MC with all the wonderful opportunities, challenges and people it carries along with it, don't seem fun either.
I can find other games where I don't have to sacrifice RL or cut myself off from the social challenges and aspects of the game.
Not leaving yet, but if this continues, then I am not sure how I feel... |
