Author | one deck , and unlimited decks |
It is there when making a tavern card game , what is the difference ? | For one deck, there can be only one of each card at a time. They are either in your hand, in your opponent's hand, or in the thing where you get the cards from or discard to. This means if you have Card X, your opponent does not have it. For unlimited deck, it is possible to get multiple copies of each card. This means you or your opponent can play 2 or more Dragon cards in a row if your resources allow it. | hmm , seems legit enough , so it is dangerous to do so ? ( play in unlimited ) |
hmm , seems legit enough , so it is dangerous to do so ?
it is difficult to answer such question.
it just depend on luck.
even you play one deck, if you are unlucky, your opponent will always get a great card and vise versa.
unlimited deck just make the probability increases. | ahhh , ok well im trying to get some gold by gambling . not turning out good :P | forgot to say , thanks for explanation guys , ill keep this thread open for more advice and knowledge/tips | Unlimited is unpredictable. In single deck, if you are familiar with the cards, you know what has yet to be played, what cards could be in your opponent hand etc. Also, if you have a card in your hand, such as the switch walls card, you know your opponent cannot switch away your wall because you have that card. So that allows you to build up your wall without a fear of it being swapped for example.
However, unlimited you might have 3 copies of the wall switch card and your opponent might have 2 or 3 at the same time, because it is random. This game type is less predictable and in a sense, more luck based perhaps.
I used to prefer infinite deck until I became familiar with the cards and switched to singular deck which is now my preference :) | also, in a single deck game, if a card has been used, it will take some time for that card to reappear in the game
so, for example, if you know a shift card has been used, you wouldn't have to worry about the shift card for awhile | Generally speaking, one deck makes the game more controlled and less dependant on luck, while on unlimited deck it is more luck dependant.
That's why i prefer one deck play |
