| A war with insignia is completely different. This was just an event. The last war was back in April 2012 (the one against tribals, knights of the sun, and sea creeps). |

War does not necessarily suppose a new faction to be introduced.
There was a war with the Wizards which was one of the three initial Empire factions when the game started.
The biggest difference between war and event is that during war, we can lose ourvterritories to the enemy, while at an event, the territory is not changed till the end.
If the enemy captures the Empire Capital, war is considered lost and we have a 24 hours Game Over screen :-D

I wasnt around during the demon war, but during Dwarf war, we "fled" to a distant "province" which only had one swmill with thousands of labour spots to harvest lumber and build "ships" to disembark near Bear Mountain and "recapture" the capital =D
Wars are very flexible, the scenario is made literally by players themselves, by their successes to be precise. In case of global emergencies like that one, changes in scenario and story are born right on the go, it's impossible to pre-plan everything. |

So in the most recent war, how could we have lost. What would have triggered the status "Lost war"?
1 day without killing a boss? 2 days? certain numbers of days since the start with at least 1 boss standing?
Who decides when we fail and when we win? |

we could not have lost
and if we killed the first 673 bosses much slower, then admins would not have added 3000 extra bosses, but maybe only 500 extra bosses so that it would be finished before halloween start

In other words, if admins want to make us lose the war, we'll lose the war.
And if they want us to win, then we win...
