Hello, I am a very old player of this game, I used to play with another character 2-3 years ago, (maybe even earlier, I remember it was heroeswm and not lords), and I remember it was 2 sites. It was .Ru and .Com. Now there is a merge, I am aware of that, and I've been playing for almost a month with this character, and I haven't met a SINGLE English-speaking player. Did all the Non-Russian players stop, or are the Russians so many that you will only rarely see anyone else than them these days? It's been bothering me so much, random messages in Russian find me, asking me stuff I don't understand and when I ask them if they speak English they're all like "no i rus".. It's kinda troublesome, since there are some stuff that I want to ask, or have some players to play with from time to time, that I would consider them "virtual friends", but it seems it's impossible.
Did I get anything wrong? Did a merge not happen and I'm on the wrong side of the game?
P.S. This post has nothing to do with racism, I like Russian people, culture, and I've been in Russia and I'd go there anytime, but the game feels kinda blank without the chatting (atleast from my point of view).

But there is more Russian players than from the rest of the world, so you will meet more from there

Wow, Fallen, if the difference is so big, that's why I didn't see any English player.. Even though I remember the .com server was heavily populated, you could get duels and group fights even between 2-5 AM.. |
yes but before the merge there also a lot of Russians playing on the English server as a secondary account
so that made it look like there were more English people |
There are roughly [my estimate] about 2-3k active [not counting those that log in for a few minutes once a week on average] English-speaking players, while there are roughly about 20-30k active Russian-speaking players.
That's a 10:1 ratio. If we use those figures, there's only approximately a less than 10% chance you will 'meet' an English-speaking player in a battle.
But you will meet them for sure if you are active enough and once your circle of friends widens [add them to your Friends List], then it will gradually feel much better, like most of us. :) |
I must say the English-speaking community held its own ground pretty well after the merger. Kudos :)

just keep logging in through https://www.lordswm.com. you get access to the English forums and you'll be making friends in no time ;)

The servers have merged, if nothing else, rule implementation has become all the more strict

if you wish to keep your charcter unblocked and without fines you should send some arts to Empire

You need to list the names of all your characters in all of their profiles.
If you want to meet more English speakers join one of the old .com clans |
