| Hi guys I am planning to hold a lottery for the clan members of zombies tomb. So i am asking that can i receive gold from the players and send the presents to the winners |

We r planning to have our first clan event n mostly we will be doing a new year lottery event (not 100% sure abt it)
My questions are :-
1)Can i sell the tickets for xxx gold n set a winning price of xxx gold??
2)If yes then wat should be the limit of gold?? For eg :- what should be the limit of Ticket price n winning price?? |

Banking activities - granting loans with interest, receiving money from other players on deposit accounts, pawn shop business, insurance operations or any other bank activities.
Leasing artifacts and other non-monetary valuables is allowed.
Borrowing and loaning gold with no interest is allowed. Every transaction must be signed properly, indicating the terms of loan.
Bookmaker activities - taking bets on sports or other events with paying the winnings in money's worth. |

technically, there's no rule against it; however, if not done properly, you may be subject to penalties.
2)If yes then wat should be the limit of gold??
follow these rules:
1 - Clan officials collecting gold from tickets should not enter the lottery themselves (if they win, it might be considered swindling/financial pyramid/financial assist);
2 - The total gold collected from sold tickets should be entirely given out as prizes;
3 - The total gold given out as prizes cannot exceed the maximum amount the player awarding those prizes can gift. So, in reverse: do not sell tickets that amount to more gold than you can gift.
4 - Buying tickets should be considered as gifts. only players that can gift are allowed to buy tickets. this means no spending more on tickets than the amount you can legally gift; no tranfers with same IP, or from multies, etc.
beware that it's a fine line between an innocent lottery and a financial pyramid. |

there's no need to use the term gift; what is important is that buying tickets and awarding prizes will be considered as such, and these transfers fall under the rules of gifting.

yes, just make sure the transfer descriptions are clear, e.g.: "buying 1 ticket for the lottery"; "gold for 3 tickets for the lottery", etc. the transfer log of the player colecting this gold should allow for an easy sum up of the total gold gathered.
when awarding the prizes, descriptions can be "for winning clan lottery", "for winning 2nd place in clan lottery" or something similar.
you should also clearly explain the lottery system to your clannies (how you pick the winners). |
