Whst does straight line mean in the description to the pounce ability?
It says: "There should be no obstacles or creatures on the straight line towards the target to use this ability."
I thought I blocked the straight line for the kappas in a recent fir-tree battle (https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=585130995 - watch the second move of the kappas) but I got pounced anyway. |
unusual, now i think that straight line doesnt mean straight line, maybe a straight diagonal is also a straight line.
Or maybe its a bug. |
I would guess that it is the path that would need to be travelled if moving normally from the creatures starting square to the target's square.
No reason it should be limited to just horizontal (or even diagonally or vertically). |
Straight is straight, diagonal is also straight. It means that a creature with pounce must be able to travel in just any one direction to its target to be allowed to use this ability. |
I understand that straight is straight, but it seems that an S-shaped route also is considered to be straight. That was what confused me. To me: I, - and / is example of straight lines, but I don't consider L or S to be straight. |
Well, of course L is also straight but I thought of it as two lines. Question answered anyway. Thanks - closing subject. |
