| I had my best friend ever, and we were really close. Now he's backing away from me, he said we should just be normal friends and just that, not best buddies.. And now I can't even eat well, I don't have the appetite, I can't do my homeworks, as though someone lost a girlfriends. But this is really happening... I am so sad, we had sworn to be best buddies ever, and now I feel so depressed. I am a male btw. We're not gays, but we are best buddies so that we won't go over a girl, which would really ruin friendship. As you leave school and start work, you'll be interacting with a huge amount of people, and among them you'll probably find some amazing people you share a lot of interests with.
Anyway, I'd assume you spent almost every day (Monday to Friday and them some) with your friend, when you spend that much time with someone, you can get a little sick of them. Maybe your buddy just needs some space to work things out, he'll still be there as your friend, and maybe you can use this as an opportunity to expand your friendship circle a little more.

If you want to, you can ask your friend after sometime for the reason behind his change of mind. But let him be right now, he probably wants his own space... maybe it could be some significant event in his life or he is sick of your interference... Thats life, if he wants to be no friends anymore with you, then thats his fault(his loss) and he's not worth it!
I just broke up my girlfriends some weeks ago, I wanted to say I know the feeling, but thats still different(I think?).

Maybe he is a bit annoyed by my interference, which he loved so much before.. But now he changed... Oh my.. I don't blame him, he's just my best friend, how could I blame my best friend... It may not be a best place to share your feelings, but not bad as well. It is always good to talk to somebody when you feel depressed and lordswm community is not an exception to it.
Of course, there would be people who may laugh at you, but think it this way that even their laughing makes you divert your attention from your depression to your anger, haha (not to say that it is not a good thing to make fun of someone's situation). But there are many more people here who can guide you on a right path, when you are confused. So, feel free to talk here whenever you feel lonely or depressed :) |
