| Believe me, it's not. Not at all, easy to randomly talk/socialize (anything but flirt -.-) with girls. But a really genuine tip is to talk to the 1to1, usually, this is much more comfortable as you can really speak and treat her the way you want to treat her, not having any worries about what her friends/your friends would judge. |
Believe me, it's not. Not at all, easy to randomly talk/socialize this is just a personal mental block, I don't mean personal to poster but too people who feel uncomfortable doing this in general. Many people have no problems doing this at all.
It is partly self esteem, partly upbringing, partly confidence plus various other factors. However if you can reprogram the way your mind works you will be much more successful in relationships and life in general. The more you do it the more confident you will become. The more confident you are the better the others will perceive you and the more successful you will be.
Many people get really hung up over how friends and others who know them think. So at the start take this pressure away by practicing when you don't know anyone nearby.
If you want to do one thing this year which will really benefit you for the rest of your life then ..
Go to somewhere full of strangers, like a shopping mall, sports event, library, etc. Then walk up to the first person you find attractive and ask them for their number. You don't know anyone right? So who cares what they think? Guaranteed this will start quite a few conversations and you WILL get some numbers. Then do it again (but not near people you have already asked).
This does a few things. Firstly you come across as confident and right from first sentence you are telling them you are interested in them and want to know them further! Your confidence will improve. You will lose your fear and become more natural.
Finally keep in mind that they may well be the same as you were and worried about approaching people so consider how would you feel if a good looking person asked you for your number? This IS how they are now feeling! !! |
I forgot to add:
As your confidence improves so will your self esteem. You will subconsciously broadcast this to everyone around you with your body language, , the way you talk even the way you stand plus in numerous other ways.
Also from personal experience I found it better approaching someone in a group (even though logically it would seem the reverse). To understand once again put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if someone asked you for your number in front of your friends? You would feel good. You would feel complimented. You would enjoy it. You would like looking good in front of them and see the awe/respect/jealousy in their faces. You would also feel safe (after all they are not likely to try and murder you in front of others. Hopefully anyway). Try approaching people both on their own or with other people though as both are good experience and both will get you good results and most likely new friends and/or relationships.
After a while when you feel comfortable you will be able to do it around people who know you without thinking twiceaabout it. When the time comes you will have no problem approaching that special person though don't be surprised if seeing the changes in you they approach you first.
