Hello people, I was thinking abt getting 2nd tier upgrade at level 6 and wondering which faction would be better, DE or barb.
Wolf raiders r strong but shrews, with a full thief set(insane initiative and +1 speed) for DE is very tempting too. Any suggestions? |
shrews are much better then wolf raiders.

| Thanks:) I agree with that too. However, in higher levels DE might have problems with rangers. I think shrews can still be very helpful. |

| I agree. Although I don't have them, Shrews are the best lvl 6 upgrade you can get, with the possible exception of Elite Forest Keepers. Boar Riders are pretty awesome too, but I don't like the Tribal Spirit ability of Fury Barbs too much. In any case, I'd highly recommend going DE and getting Shrews :) |

I'm pretty sure DE with shrews in lev 6-7 is too strong but can anyone plz tell me if they r strng at lev 8 too? |

At the 6-th lvl Shrews are excellent for hunting. If you want to fight in a group battle be ready to loose them quickly. As Marquise said they will alwayyys be the first target.
In any case they are very useful for either hutning and Mercenaries' guilds and group battles |
yeah, i know they'll be the first target but so will be the wolves. in grp battles i guess i can quickly destroy the opponent right in front of me. :)

| I pick shrews too as they are easier to position in the field plus they are much more mobile. Being large creatures, raiders tend to be easily "blocked" in combat. |

they are like..
shooter with unlimited range :D |
But since you are on FSL 3 of barb , its time to decide , which faction you want to play further....
Barb or DE , coz FSL matters alot. |
| I agree with Arch. Since you are already FSL 3 for barb, the bonuses that you get from that can be a factor too. If ever you will go with barbs, you can play around the strengths of your faction instead of starting up from scratch with DE for the shrews. Still, the decision is up to you. But I'd suggest that if you are aiming for DE, start out earlier so you can still level up your FSL a bit. |
I'd suggest going with de..shrews will give u a great advantage against ai..u can do survival tourneys to gain 2-3 fsl and then start pvps..they'll be pretty strong..dont worry about ranged opponents now...with full thief set u should be pretty strong.
also since low fsl in DE is no big deal like for dwarves and wiz and stuff fsl should not be much of a problem except against de players with shrews. |

I didn't play many survival tourneys, but as far as I know their fsp/xp ratio is very bad.. |
#16 the ratio is only bad if you score high.
if you die on purpose each time on wave 2-3 you get very good ratio :) |

yeah, i considered the fsl factor but thought it won't affect DE as much as it affects other factions like demon or dwarfs. i guess i will go with shrews now. thx:) |
