Lionel Messi is too good.
He is very good, indeed, but one man can't carry a team. Now of course, Messi isn't the only good player in Argentina's team, but Belgium also has a very good team which could defeat Argentina. |
My predictions:-
1. Brazil beat Colombia 3-1
Brazil have an excellent foward line up. One of the best in the world cup. Hulk Neymar and Fred can wreak havoc. They have a good defense too with david luiz in a good form. Caesar seems to be really cool and we saw that in the Chile match in the penalties. Colombia rely mostly on the best player of this tournament as of now, James Rodriguez.
2. Costa Rica beat Netherlands in Penalties.
The Dutch side has a great forward line up with Van persie and the playmaker robben. Sneijder and Huntelaar add more depth to this lineup. But a weak defense mixed up with an average goal keeper is their achillies. Costa Rica is the total opposite. Their keeper is in top form and is being compared with Ochoa. Their defense too is strong. They lack in converting chances. Thus i think the game will be drawn with not more than 2 goals each at the end of extra time and having a better keeper, costa rica will make it through to the semis.
3. Germany Beat France in Penalties.
Germany is one of the favorites to win the world cup. Mueller is in top form and we could see goals from him. They have a strong defence and our balanced with next to no weak points. France on the other hand are strong too with Benzema doing very well... Pogba is looking good too. They too are balanced bud definitely germany has the edge. The match will be tied till extra time ends and then in the penalties germany will sail through thanks to a better goal keeper. Let us not forget france have got 1 penalty and missed it (Benzema). :P
4. Argentina Beat Belgium 1-0
Argentina have a star studded forward line up. Messi, Aguero and Higuain is a Killer triplet. Problem is that Aguero and Higuain have not performed well and their winger Maria plays like a robot with commands to shoot as soon as possible. He scored in the last game but missed 12 shots before that :/ Argentina's defence is not weak either so they dont have any particular weak spot. Belgium on the other hand are well balanced with Buyten in good form currently the second best performing defender of the world cup according to the official rankings. Their keeper Thibaut is doing well too. Lokaku is looking good and Hazard has not been up to his mark. The problem is their conversion which has not been top of the mark and Argentina's keeper Romero who is doing well in this world cup will surely try to keep a clean sheet. I think Argentina will manage to take it away with 1 goal. |

they win but must be small margin like 1-0 or 2-1 |
If we can block Messi I'm sure we stand a nice chance. Argentine has much potential yet not showed it this World Cup.
If they have the same game as they had against Swiz, we might even win :). |

I would like to see that aswell. To be honnest, I wouldn't mind that much to lose against The Netherlands, afterall if one of us reaches the finals I'm happy :).

I do consider it as antifootball,but then again,take a look at Mourinho.I hate when teams play full defensive when the score favors them.
