| I’ve heard of the principle that one must have 0.6gms of protein per lbs of a person in a day. So if I’m 190 pounds, and I have almost no other source of protein since I’m a vegetarian and hence don’t consume eggs and meat , do I have to take really 6 servings of whey? (30gms per scoop) |
| All type of beans, lentils, spinach, mushrooms and many other veggies are high protein source and not only. |
its not just animal derived food that has proteins lol.
As an indian, my guess is that you must be consuming lentils and yogurt regularly which can make up for a good part of daily requirements i am sure. |

I was recommended 1gm of protein per pound. So first lesson is that the figures vary massively depending on source :D

No, other sources can include tofu and other nuts such as almonds.
Greek yoghurt is also quite good in terms of proteins. |
I already take beans, spinach but my protein counter doesn't come as high as whey fills. I took eggs before but soon came to dislike the taste.
1 gm was what is recommended by my dietician too but then he said that's pretty difficult for a vegetarian to achieve so set a goal of 0.6/lbs |
