However, it just feels wrong to me as too inconsiderate. Should I or should I not auto the tourney for CG points? |

If a few people said Yes or No to you here, should it matter to you any more than all those players who would be unfortunate to be matched with you?
Going into the tournament to press auto and leave is a surefire way to ridicule anyone who takes it seriously AKA the poor players who otherwise can't afford 20 combats in the best arts. Maybe i am reading too much in to it, but I want you to take a moment yourself and think how would it be if you loved to play pvp and were matched with this version of a player. If you are desperate to get the small gold reward without any effort, hope this is worth it. I don't think so. |
If a whole raft of people said it was fine, I would feel less aggrieved to do it, though still doubt I would. I don;t think I could bring myself to be that inconsiderate. I posted as much as anything to highlight the fact that the way they have set up the tourney means there is no disincentive to autoing it other than your own sense of what is appropriate. In terms of in game gold and stats, I lose out by acting as I think a responsible member of the community should, that basic setup feels like it should not happen.
I may be more tempted if the AI was not so ridiculously awful at using runes and magic, which essentially covers both my mains. In that situation the risk of causing teammates to lose may be much reduced.
I may be a liabiltily just being me, in my only 2 games so far in the tourney I went in as a DOF dwarf with 9 spell power too much, still won them though so who cares. |

Once you do it, you also lose my respect, I suppose, of similiar thinking people. However you value that.
In a competetive fight, I want everyone to be giving it their fullest. Maybe they can't help their guilds, but armaments, arts and skill which under their control, I expect maxx. |
I think thats unreasonable expectations, its up to each player on what they value things such as pvp. And to most players 10k or so on arnaments each month isnt worth it.
Also players may be inexperienced at pvp so have low level of skill, how do they get that skill if players are insulting towards them each time they make a mistake |
