No extra hunts after reset it seems. Guess we can only get more with wins.

The portal battles are a total let down this time, due to it being 1 vs 1 it only gives a measly 1,39 sp. And this time all AI creatures somehow got really high initiative, practicly all of them go first, even my angel dies without being able to hit anything. And what's worse, I did the 1st level on full AP and still AI's only 9 demented did over 250 damage without any luck killing all rocs, they are easy for now but it shows promise for later on. Looks like the admins are thinking that everyone is using the ultra versions of units and has adjusted the AI to it. |
We are again getting normal fsp, now I feel stupid for having played 10 battles at half the fsp :/ |

For me it was too much, hunted for 2 days and then just used the same (shitty) setup at low pot levels for the rest of the event :p
Anyways, pot is always fun and got the faction of nasty elves to fsl6, yay |
Looks like the admins are thinking that everyone is using the ultra versions of units and has adjusted the AI to it.
I rather noticed the opposite, that is, getting the upgraded versions as main units was a mistake, since they cost a lot more and you can only recruit so many.
In fact, i started winning when i took a bunch of death envoys in my team, and had them do both meatshield and offense. They and a couple dragon distracted the enemy enough to have my dark witches, mystress and (a few) mega witches do the killing job. Invis also helped, i only regret not taking the stalkers in too, because sometime when mistress are alone and a group of stacks remain on each side of the field, they can't reach fast enough the 2nd and die.
Also many people try always to go for the same setups as the previous PoT; now, devs made quite clear, if not explicit, that they modify setups so that what worked the previous time won't be as effective the next. So better have a look and start a new setup from scratch, to see if it works better. |
Played it ultra safe, won 96/96, got to just around level 20.
Was a good event, but I prefer the 2 vs 2 format tbh. |

yup, sadly once again magic was not a viable option. tried a few fight in the end, with some magic build.. all epic fails.

makes it difficult to wage if the fight is worth its effort or not.
I've been experimenting and lost 26 battles out of 96, and can't realize if the lack of gold will be significant until too late.
If i could see how much every loss is going to cost me, i'd be able to decide if play safe or keep experimenting.

I understand that, but what i mean is that i would like to play as a full magic user that uses magic from beginning (or almost), not a hybrid.
Later on you can unlock magic guilds, but then can only buff/debuff; if you want pure magic fights, you need to re-purchase a full magic set, and your troops will have to be modified as well.
Furthermore, the recruits count will be reduced (because you spent some 900 crystals to unlock all magic stuff), meaning you have to move backward by a few PoT levels to compensante, and your team will be weaker and with less défenses (they'll be meat for shooters, since you have to give up the 19% anti-range gear if you want full SP and protection breakthrough; and magic gear has generally lower protection).
Add to that that you have no ini gear either, and that for magic users talents like sorcery are the only chance to get INI >11, and hum.. not an option, really, is it? |
