It's funny, a buffer + might build is a really good combo in events where you have a partner, as seen from the pirate event and the tamer dark elf event.
You could probably test a magic build if you played it ultra safe (like I did) and had no real issues with gold. |
I ended up doing all the battles + a fair number of the hunt creature battles. Decided that the 15% fsp boost from the light boon + the fsp boost from ABC lead to a good return so it was well worth doing as many as possible IMO.
Having said that; it was expensive. I too do not like that gold rewards are being handed out at the end of the event and would rather they are incorporated in the battles to keep the gold supply a bit higher. 96 battles was a lot to get through and that is without including the hunt battles as well!
Overall though, it was fun to play something that was a little different and good to see the admins mixing it up a bit! |

I fail to think of an event that would allow for competitive magic builds. Almost all events are designed around very agressive builds with lots of range (look at pirates; their shooter is stronger than sharpshooter with 8-12 damage instead of 7-8, no range penalty and ignore 20% defense like sharp, but come in much larger stacks), shrew-like or leapers melee, that must be a nightmare as destruction. |
actually, during pirate event i was able to play magic build - but of course, using my Partner both as tanker and taunter.
And i was able to do it only because all kind of arts were allowed, so i used those +4 SP helms, battlemagi robes, temporal stuff etc.. that was sitting in inventory.
With all that, i was barely at the same level as a player using full shop arts. And of course, cost was much higher for each of my battles. |

| Well there might not necessarily be a gold reward for this event. That discussion about the gold reward being at the end is in general. If there is one, it will likely come when the announcement about the event ending is made. |

I think the last one was in March - It didn't give out any gold at the end ;) However, the run of events that give out the gold start after that one I believe.

Haha not that I don't want the gold, I really do want it! Just got to be realistic that it may not happen. 96 battles was a lot though and I would be just as disappointed if the reward did not match the effort put in!
On another note, I was reading the Russian forums and a couple of players would like the whole creature hunting thing to become a guild where you have to collect all the creatures. Interesting idea - But probably another empty guild that people would complain they now have to level up to get the bonuses from haha |

Yes the hunt thing is bit tedious & time consuming but gives good exp/fsp.
So overall a good change from old pot :) |

Oh I see, I didn't play it so didn't remember :P Btw did the players get gold in the battles if the won(I mean every single win, not just a "loot" type)?

Hmm That would be very interesting, but I don't understand how it will be organized, like what would we do with the collected creatures? If they can come up with some sort of a background story it might be kind of interesting, would be kind of like pokemon but I think it'll be interesting tbh :P Though I quite doubt that will happen... also if it's a guild most likely battles would be made much harder and we would need full shop arts or GH/BB sets, which would make hunter arts more expensive and also the guild more expensive, then as you mentioned people would start complaining.

Yes absolutely, you don't need to spend time to make sure your partner is online, or to find a partner if you are playing with varying partners... you can also play it as fast as you want. I finished most of my PoT battles in just 2-3 minutes, and did almost 70 of them in just one day ;) |

Cl 13 get 440 gold per victory, what a letdown because it is very small, capturing creature dont count to gold dispensed, and the artifact is so so.
The only use of the dagger is in full echanted event set. Where it gives extra eleme t damage when echanted while shield dont. Extra air magic damage is not synergize well because mage build rarely use dagger,only charmer elf can use this dagger at full potential. |
