You did get some gold in battles, not forgetting event art.. although its cheap, but it did covered all gold actually spent.
Also don't forget you got free fsp on factions without building castle, what else you need? ;) |

^ Exactly my thought everytime whenever I see such post,which is everytime after any event.
I mean do you all guys want to take gold with you when you die :D gold is earned to spent for fun in events, whats the point in saving anyways ;) its not real money, so that you can pass it to your children lol |
| I think most players here are forgetting that a few years ago events were made to be disastrous loss of gold. Made sense, you earned gold doing enrolls, hunts, etc. and spent it on events. The fact that events themselves are profitable, or at least roughly zero loss now, is incredible. Yet people are never satisfied and want more :P |

exactly...
we had to save up and enroll in order to earn enough gold to take part in events...
players who went for top but did not make it could lose in the 100k's...
now the reward is incredible at least for this event it is i cant say the same for some other events though...

I have been playing this game since 2009 and for me personally this is one of the best events, because:
1. You get to play with different army setups and in huge numbers
2. You get to raise your faction resistance without having to build a castle for a faction you don't really enjoy playing with
3. I can play it alone (very important for me since I'm playing from work between daily tasks)
4. You get your investment back in rewards, so there is little to no money lost.
What I would improve to make events like this even better:
1. Make them playable in 3vs3, 2vs2 and 1vs1 formats, with 3vs3 and 2vs2 getting a little bonus in the end results, in order to promote in-game relationships.
2. Making the 10 seconds refreshing and waiting time more enjoyable by getting to chose between 3 armies to fight against. This will greatly decrease the waste of time in between fights. |
