Author | [News] Griffin Liege vs. Manticore Liege |
Long ago, even before the first combat clan of the Empire was founded, two noble clans were fighting for the right to call themselves great. Those were the clans of Manticore and Griffin, under whose banner the armies of the greatest heroes of those times stood. For a long time there was a struggle between them, and the lands of the Empire saw more than a dozen legendary battles, and who was awarded the victory is not exactly known to this day. After all, so many years have passed since then, and time has wiped away signs that flaunted on banners and arms. Surely I can only say that even today in the heart of each of us lies the spirit of the mighty Manticore and the brave Griffin.
Brave Heroes!
Voevoda Grammit and the leader of the gnomes of Tolgar declare the beginning of the Great Contest:
VS
1) Any hero from the 3rd combat level will go over to the side of the Griffin detachment or the Manticore order;
2) At 00 minutes and 30 minutes of every hour (except for the night break), a set will be played in the match;
3) The battles will occur in the same format as in history - 2x2. Moreover, both rivals and allies can be heroes with artificial intelligence (AI);
4) Only artifacts from the store are allowed, modifiers do not work;
5) The competition will last 10 days until July 13 inclusive;
6) Up to 30 wins can be played in a match;
7) Heroes will receive 1.5x increased points of skill, as well as GT points if the opponent was not AI on the contrary;
8) The action of the Potions of the faction extends to fights in the match;
9) At the end of the match, the Empire will generously reward all Heroes of both sides;
10) During the competition, the number of victories of each side will be counted, no battles will be taken into account, where there were heroes with artificial intelligence (AI);
11) The match is divided into three rounds - the first and second rounds will last 4 days, and the third 2 days. With each round, the parties will have a zero score. The winner will be the side that will win from two rounds;
12) Each Hero who has won 3 wins will receive a special artifact (slot: backpack) in the inventory - the Griffin banner or the Manticore banner, with which he can go to the competitions.
Moreover, for the 7th, 14th and 24th victories a special elixir will be awarded:
For 7 wins
For 14 wins
For 24 wins
The effect of elixirs does not apply to battles in PvP events, PvP tournaments, guild tactics, survival tournament and text quests. Elixirs must be used before August 1, 2017.

Just what I wanted! |
A couple of PvE events, now a PvP event - seems a reasonable balance - cannot suit everyone in every event (unless you are someone that is easily pleased like me :)
The only thing I don;t like with these is the fact that I rarely finish them (and if I do I then feel bad as have had to compromise too many other things in real life to achieve it), whereas in PvE events you can blitz out quite a few in a short period of time. |
This is basically the same as CG? |
for IComeInPeace:
Yes, but with a greater diversity of players. You will find players that don't play CG trying out these events. For instance, I played a level 16 barbarian who had never played CG before, he had FL 11 and no resistances, very low guilds. You will not often find players with that sort of setup in CG. A bit of a lottery really. |
Also you will get AI as opponents, and not infrequently. These you should walk all over. |
for Corey:
Lottery yes, but remember they can be your partner too ;)
On the side note, it gives half exp and same fsp as of normal CG, also it always matches of +-2 same CL players on both side.. so no unfair pairing scenario. |
Wow CG points and TG also?
7) Heroes will receive 1.5x increased skill points, as well as TG points if the opponent was not an AI on the contrary;
I am so busy in RL, wonder if I could complete the event.. |
Thats mistranslated.. its CG points not TG. |
30 victories for the whole event (3 rounds) or 30 per round? |
Whole event.
Round only matters for calculation of Liege's point. |
level up in midst of event would give another opportunity to play the same event gain? |
No, can play only once. |
3 reason why I skip this event.
I am so busy in RL
I am in odd level without DU
the reward usually not great at pvp event |
CG points is the only reason i am playing |
ahh this event is fun...

Something like this DE, who was in the fight only to give me spell power :)

Also met a fsl9 dwarf after him... so far only 1 fight out of 4 might had been tough if my unicorns didn't blind 50% of the time in that one :) |

You wouldn't have said that if you love CGs.
Actually rewards are big bonus here for regular CG players.
You get increased fsp, reduced exp, reward at end too.. so regular CG players would be loving it.
And about reward, it depends on luck at which liege you got.. If your liege wins, the end reward item can actually cover all your gold spent. Atleast it did last time. |
