in my opinion, dominion of fire is strong and battle dominating, but not overpowered. it behaves similar as holy or dark spells, for some matches it would be terribly strong(such as a defensive tribal vs d.o.f., or an unholy vs holy casters), but not that invincible overall.
the only thing brainless imbalance is unicorns, you can never find another unit that have high speed, high ini, high hp, high damage, high a&d, atb control, mass magic resistance which works to both chaos and dark spells. as a result, unicorns perform extremely strong in ALL cases. so it is time to cry elf imba! (≧ω≦) |

Unis help dominate elf matches. I agree, pristine unicorns would be a great unit in all circumstances. On top of this, they have a 50% chance of blinding.. or so it seems.
Tribals- especially defensives ones, properly utilised are good for everything except maybe DoF. Ditto for dark barbs.
The Tamer DE is beatable now due to its nerf.Even then, it is a bad unit to fight.
Dwarves have so many runes that they adapt to everything that you throw at them. The frontier bursary pushback is legendary.
Dark demons have dark spells and the great horses and the temptresses. Also very difficult to beat.
So all of them beat up the slow, heavy, shuffling knight; shoot or knock back wardens, lead guardians on a merry chase while finishing them off with lightning. Makes me wonder how I won some of my fights. In fact, 8 of 11. |

Haha, that's some good shit. Frontier pushback is legendary indeed. Doesn't matter if its 1 bear or moving just 1 tile. You don't have anything to say about barb? =)
Lets talk about cores from all factions:
Demon: Horses have initimidation aura/searing aura and fear attack. I think both are very cool abilities.
Elf: Unicorns have blinding brilliance and either magic resistance or free buffs from ally or enemy likewise. Very strong, as a stand alone unit it is definitely OP.
Barb: Just like unicorn, i think firebirds/thunderbirds have high damage and ini but no special ability except transportation. This ability is handy sometimes but the post-transport bird positioning makes it awful more often than not.
DE: Lizards are great and easily one of the most dangerous units in the game regardless of how they are built;tanky or offense oriented.

Tribal: Each one of the units can be unstoppable if ignored a little. Try to kill enforcers and warlords, shamans will destroy you. Try to kill shamans, well they will do their buffs/debuffs anyway. Its multi-core with shamans, warlords, enforcers. Tier 7 upgrade is my favorite in the game.
Wizard is meh. Battlewiz has fortunes genies but I have no comment for it. I said enough about dom of fire already.
Knight and necromancer: I haven't played enough of either. I felt both can be strong or weak depending truly on matchups. |
My take on DoF is simple, the reason it is imba for Defense Tribal, is because there is no way to counter it.
There is no build or talent that can help counter DoF. Mind you, I'm not saying DoF Wizard is unbeatable, I myself have defeated multiple DoF Wizards in the past, what I'm saying is there needs to be an ability like Fireproof with Tribals.
Any ability for which there isn't a counter ability with ANY faction is an imba case. |

But without Dominion of Fire, wizards will die. Nobody will play as wizard (maybe a few hunts ans MGs). Now, everyone who drinks a PoS use Dominion of Fire. It's easy. :))
