Could some admin please acknowledge players joining tournament in thrash artifacts?
It's frustrating as hell over and above the as always dumb match making. |
| i feel like that's hard to do, but how about they start making the mirror artifact for autobutton unusable in tournament? people just join to emediatly go auto... hard for people competing for first place to do this. |
Keep a higher AP requirement.
I got into another battle with a guy with substandard arts and mirror. It's frustrating to be honest.
These Level 21s being pitted against Level 17- Opponents, where is the logic? Earlier I did give 2 thoughts to strategy, but now I'm playing just to finish my 20 wins, regardless of the losses. But this is wrong.
Also the Luck and Morale system needs to be revamped. I've had a battle where my own creatures got more Morale Bursts with 2 Morale than at 5. Similarly I've had opponent with 1 Morale get back to back bursts.
And when will Tribals get a counter for DoF? The only way of winning against a DoF Wizard is for him to commit mistakes. I see level 20 Tribals getting destroyed by Level 15- DoF users.
The best faction in this tourny is Fury Barbarian. Cheap Luck & Morale with strong Melee & Ranged. A Charmer Elf v/s a Fury Barbarian is a perfect example of bad balancing. Even with the first hit with Sharpshooters elves still have a ranged disadvantage. |

My partner has higher initiative, but NO, my opponents sharpshooters will go first, opponents unicorn will go first.
My Sky Shamans have higher Initiative than the opponent Sharpshooters, but even after the second round my Sky Shamans go second. I'm at the verge of quitting PvP from this game. What is the point of investing time energy and donating when this kind of nonsense mechanics still prevail. |

imo dof is alright to deal with, in every case in the end the top 20 is usually full with almost all factions and lvls. It's rather experience and smart playing which gives you the medals here. Also it's just impossible to avoid that certain factions are stronger against others and the other way around. If you make one faction weaker, it means it get's even more disadvanted against some other faction against which it is already bad.
For example put a mid or high lvl fury barbarian against 2 lower lvl darkness demons and it will have a very hard time. |
I suppose the reason why nobody opened a thread regarding the Mixed Tourney till the third/fourth day is to prevent a whine/cry thread.
Still, I honestly like to see others' opinion about battles, and what they feel.
Unholy Undeads are the weakest class in the game (Check "Win Ratios", no debate here), but I honestly like playing them.
I refuse to swap to Classic just to win more! :P

Still I don't agree with the Luck/Morale thing you mention, Imo.
Admins have put it in a way so that if your Luck and Morale don't trigger much, next time it will increase in X%, where "X" depends on your Luck and Morale, and the times it didn't trigger.
IIRC there was a table with their exact % per fail and success, but I don't have it now. :S
Regarding your whole experience:
Yes, me and everybody else have gotten TERRIBLE teammates (Afks, bad arts, or very very very "Unskilled" people), but I also remember battles where my teammate did like 65-75% of the job and carried me hard to victory.
I also used to whine/cry A LOT about admins and teammates, now I just try to take it calmly/relaxed.
Not trying to teach you anything though, you are probably more mature.

Anyway whoever thinks fury barb is OP should play fury barb. AKA is a high enough level player and i'm sure he is able to afford multiple castles. But then of course if you do, you will be crying about tamers and dwarves in the tournament...both of which are very popular in pvp. Also anything with "dominion of mind" talent really. A supporting DD just ruins barb, while temptress ruin battlewizes and all those shooter independent classes except necro regardless of combat level difference. DD itself is quite weak to pure mages and mages well, they are weak to everything with morale and initiative. So while you complain about DoF being too good against tribal, which i totally agree and sympathize with, you should reconsider before calling it an easy game for others. |

exactly, only thing that can be balmed imo is still people going auto from first turn. That's why i don't like this tournament as much as usual |
