Make things interesting: give 6 Talent points per CL.
It would benefit Fury Barbs more (The laughable Talent costs) than Necros for instance. :P
It would make for more intense builds, at lower CLs.
Fair game for everybody.
How about making a Talent for Holy Magic where whenever a creature is affected by your mass holy spell they are granted 40% magic shield for an equal duration, not stacking? This talent would require expert holy magic and mass stoneskin/evasion talent.

Are you sure about this idea considering we should ask them to eliminate the effectiveness of all spells relative to level differences?
I think there should be a seal of darkness talent put on the light tree and a seal of light on the darkness tree, but instead of increasing the cost, it should reduce the effect.

Also - this is a talent in LWM.. It's called fireproof (check elf talent tree). During the paired tournament we had recently, a few holy knights took the talent to counter BW DoF.

It is based on the fact that being HM you can place your troops in that 4X4 area and easily get buffed.
But, if you face a DM you will spread your troops. Hence for DM 5X5 is required.


This is true in lower levels like with knight, when it gets 8 speed charger 2 stacks hit or 8 speed angels, "stay back and buff" isn't really possible. Also yes you can spread your troops but it also opens weakness that can be used. A knight that spreads its troops away from his guardians is just doing more harm than good.

Why would it be "more interesting"? More talents kill the idea of builds, as in instead of having luck or morale build, you end up with so many points that you have no choice and take both.
In fact, a holy knight often plays with defence and rally talents rather than holy. It is only in mixed battles or at least paired battles that holy has a chance of using all that magic properly. Sitting down and doing nothing is strategically very bad- imagine not moving the pieces early in chess- one reason why dark magic has the advantage. Dark magic can move and cast without affecting overall strategy. Add to that the fact that wardens have the slowest ini of all shooters- and the hero's ini is also quite slow so that there is no chance of putting in evasion before your wardens get shot- you get the picture.

I agree with all your points except this one. Even with this low ini they function effectively as a one man army.

that is true, it required some point adjustment also.
