@techy, at least last minute betrayals are not possible, when a player leaves for another guild that player has to play all event levels all over again but this time without getting any rewards making them lose tons of gold so making the betrayal very costly if not done way beforehand.
The way it is going I foreshadow lobbyists even paying these costs just to get specific players to their guilds during a LG event to get the best rewards. Especially considering the prices of these golden creatures being offered for 600k on next LG event. |

So you foreshadow top clans trying to go for the best players? As they've been doing since... wait, let me check the records... oh, from the point clans were introduced in the game.
Funny how Shub in post #155 highlights the positive aspects of such events (and which to some extent explain why top clans are at the TOP), but everyone happily let that slide off the discussion... |
The cost of trolls have allready gone up from 1024 to 1066, it will get increased daily towards 2k or well over at some point. This is exactly what Omar Contreras meant in post 145 when he said: 'It's like you're told that your winning prize is 1000 dollars, and when you go collect, they mistakenly give you 2000 dollars, and you say you deserve it.'
So enjoy them while they last untill next event will hand you its replacement also starting under half it's 'real' cost. This way the top 3 will always remain the top 3 and the rest become nothing but spectators, within a year most might even stop competing. |

The troops that were required to get to beat level 50 were not troops specifically handed out to clans as the top spot. So how does giving trolls for example mean AK will be in top spot next time when the trolls won't be used?
And top 3 won't always be top 3, AK was 5th in smugglers and worked hard to get to 1st now, we were first before any of the player swapping had occurred. Maybe if your clan didn't have over a quarter of players who didn't put in any effort it would be in a higher position and better able to compete.
I genuinely hope this merger happens and players finally are able to work together in a clan and motivate each other to be better and we can see a .com clan higher up instead of watching many scream at those who put in the time and effort. |

If you completed the minimum level to get rewards, I believe was level 10. |
Correction, minimum is 15 points to get a reward.

It doesn't. I think the only argument someone can make for this is that those who are given trolls may have an easier time doing harder LeG battles, allowing them to level up their guild faster and have more leadership to bring into the next event. Similar to how Leprechauns and Turncoat Warmages provided huge support help. I still think many common troops remain as the better troops for these events, though infected zombies are not so useful anymore. |
| One could also argue that the high tier rewards given out previously, like silver pegasus and medusas queens, are really not that useful. Just a hit or miss on how the troop cost and effectiveness works out. |
@Lord Syrian, the top clans are not going for the best players for the clan, they are only going for them during LG event to get the best reward since immediately after awards get dispensed those same players leave the clan.

Yeah right, as if the leprechauns, earth elementals, turncoat warmages etc being used didn't come from previous LG events. And the trolls will especially be used untill their costs doubles.
Also I don't care that over a quarter of players in my clan didn't put in any effort, after reaching LG 9 I'm thinking of stopping playing LG anyway. It does not matter who becomes first, my point is and remains that those top in LG events will keep on being the top in LG events simply by using the gained creatures from previous LG events and this will continue to be the case. The LG event is allready at a state that without those specific troops one does not even stand a chance.
I shudder to think how new players are feeling about LG, yes they can buy potion to get 16k leaderhip at LG event, but they still need troops to play it. And since gained troops are based on AP being used in 5 battles, gathering usable troops will take more than a year for them, turning them into spectators instead of competitor. Unless they buy the creatures heavily with gold, pouring hundreds of dollars into this game, probably what the admins had in mind but it's a huge fail on this one. |

Sometimes there initial valuation of a troop is too high and the troops people get are not in actual fact much use (Nixes)

However, in their wisdom they realised that they are not perfect and put in a dynamic balancing mechanism such that if a troop was undervalued and got used a lot its price would automatically increase.
Or it could all be a conspiracy to make some clans (though usually different ones) win more over the other clans despite no motivation to do so. |

I was going to give up at level 36 after I lost it countless of times. I didnt. I looked up strategies our clanmates shared in clan chat, and they helped me defeat level 50 (I did that with gargoyles, zombies and golems, units that almost EVERYONE has).
Saying we didnt work hard is so wrong here. We spent a lot of gold. We comunicated with eachother A LOT. If you did that you too could get good spots so stop complaining. |

I recruited 2 of just one troop type that is rare, and for that there is a common equivalent that would have achieved the same job since there only function was to die at the very start. The rest is either common or uncommon.
I just had the foresight to know that having a high LeG guild would be useful so made sure I invested in it to get Leg 9 in a timely manner. I did not rush in this and did not do a single battle until I had enough troops to resurrect which took a few weeks. Certainly not something that would take a year.
Exaggeration has the unfortunate effect of reducing the credence of any valid point.

We did... I don't know why have you built a perception that all the clan who don't get good rank don't do anything... Everyone worked their ass off... A lot of strategies were shared and communication did take place. I lost about 20k-30k on a single level and still didn't make it. The only problem that I noticed was lack of appropriate troops .. like someone shared a strat for lv26 but I didn't have the required troop, I tried with a replacement but it didn't work. F |
