How many players access the game through .com?

AuthorHow many players access the game through .com?
Unsure if this one belongs in GGF as it may develop into some kind of discussion.

I wondered if there are any reasonable statistics for how many players are active on the .com side of the game?

Typically the game hits around 4-5000 players online during peak times and i'd be interested to know what percentage of these are accessing through lwm.com

If anybody has any idea or would like to speculate I think this would be interesting.

Some related sub questions:

How many players are registered
What percentage make it to X level
How many actively read and use .com forum

If it does, it'll be moved :)

reasonable statistics

Not to my knowledge, sadly without some fancy digging, you couldn't really tell. The annual statistics I know of, do count registrations, but not by which site they register.

Annual stats, for 2018

How many players are registered

If you look here, you can change the minimum level to a 1

http://abouthwm.ru/players.php?lang=1

Gives a result of: Characters matched : 1041493

What percentage make it to X level

You can use the methodology described above to figure this out, it's about to hit 2am and I don't have to energy (sorry)

I'm sure there are tools available online that can estimate a websites traffic for you (I'll avoid posting any links in case they end up being harmful). But that would only be traffic, doesn't actually tell us about engagement or reading.

The only "real" measure I guess would be to count the different people who do post.
Appreciate the annual stats I wasn't aware such a thing existed. Unfortunately the graphs paint a painfully depressing picture, especially number of characters registered last year. The numbers mirror my own experience with the game but seeing the decline presented in such a matter of fact way is sad to see.

Having a quick look into it most traffic analysers require some kind of sign up/subscription. If anybody with a bit more knowledge can access these kind of stats it would be cool to post here.

This was the 1st and most repeated thing I have heard since I refistered 6 years ago. :D

I don't believe you'll ever have real number of players due to the 100's of multies had and keep made from a good number of people. :P
My two cents. The game is doing well. If the Admins would like to expand it, they can do it in a heartbeat. The game has a prestigious reputation and is not intended to everyone.

I think it is fair to assume, that any prospective advertising campaign will increase the number of people in .com serve by hundreds if not more. A campaign like this will likely to reach ten of thousands. However, only a fraction of them will likely to play the game for years to come.

it was 8k online,now look
10K and I had seen 15K at some events too, I believe the real players where always around 5-7K, rest are alts and several multies from many people.
Usually everyone logs out alts after using alts , so even if someone has alts , they game counts as 1 in the top right corner where it shows online players
you can log 2 acc, one in .com and one in .ru at the same time
This game is really enjoyable once you've learnt it's mechanics...But unfortunately, I've been trying to draw a lot of my friends in playing this game but they keep saying they don't appreciate the combat graphics that they don't even bother to try it for once. I guess if they could(I like this interface al
(continuation)
already) but I don't think it's pleasable to another community of player who've been used to seeing the immersive graphics on PUBG and all(not that I'm comparing the two.) I believe a little touch up could make the game much more acceptable to the guys out there. Just my personal suggestion.
Registered more than 5 years ago and always access from .com site. I know a handful of friends who are even "older" here and access from the .com site too.

I'm so hooked up to the game and have been playing it on a daily basis. But my own enormous interest in the game is possibly due to my past experience with HMM games.

Definetly this is an adults game and majority of us who are hooked in it is because of our love to HMM.
There are plenty of games with vavavoum grafics out there, please leave our favorite game the way it is. :)
I actually played this first then played HMM.

Yeah, true that.

Used to love playing Red Alert, Age of Empires, Starcraft series. Too old for those instant-action games now. :-D
