Hi All,
Any tips for level 7 wizard?
Thus far, I'm doing below par with 3 victories and 4 loses.
My build is full enchanted equipment from the store, advanced chaos magic.
Max gar (tier 2), max golems, 8 magi and 3 gremlins.

Enchanted equipment don't work for Tournaments where the armament conformity is 'Standard' - like this MT.
Artifacts enchantement don't work in minor tournament.

Change your mini artifacts. Gargoyles and golems should both have defense and health. Magi should probably have health and initiative. Attack on magi is pretty much worthless because they have magic punch. Good luck!
Ensure you have set up your golems and gargs as you want them considering the enemy at the start, such that you are unlikely to need to move them. Your suitability depends upon the extra stats from clicking defend with them. Against some enemies you will want to cluster them in one corner such that large troops cannot hit both, against others you will want to separate them to give a delay from when one single troop can get to them (eg against knights it will come down to guardians which are slow, separating golems and gargs in this instance means when one of these dies the enemy stack has to spend at least a turn to get the remaining one, meaning an extra lightning bolt dealt before it happens).
You magic damage is then targeted based upon the long game, evaluating which troop from their set up is going to be the last one left, and thus deciding which of their troops you need to prioritise based on this. Sometimes it will be killing all the smaller stacks and then slowly working on the single dangerous one (eg knights again), other times you have to distribute it more evenly (tribals for instance to stop any one stack becoming OP due to spirit, and preventing the bonus spirit to other troops from any of their stacks being wiped out.
Also, consider placement of magi. Separating them out is only useful if your enemy has the ability to do damage over an area. In other situations it is better to cluster them or group them, and thus clump the enemy and increase the rate where a troop cannot get to you within their movement amount.
Also, most of the times it's not worth to attack instead of defending with gargoyles / golems. That +20% defense is very useful in staying in combat as long as possible so you have time to do your spells. Remember that time passes in your advantage, as you deal the same amount of damage with your hero while the opponent's stacks decrease in size so they deal less and less damage.

And Gargoyles are your most valuable stack so defend it at all costs.

Chaos talent is not very useful until you get lightning spell. It gives the equivalent of 1 SP per talent for magic arrow, so here you have +2 SP. If you take erudition and intelect you can take away 2 KN to get 3 extra SP.

Oh sorry, I can't hide that I haven't played this game for a while xD 30% is even better :)
