I misread your question as rare sets. Most players use rare sets only for PvP or AG.
If you mean Normal artifacts physical damage reduction, then melee damage reduction and ranged damage reduction falls under it? Most higher level shields and armor provides that.
Also to answer your Question, magic resistance isn’t as strong when msges have access to many artiffacts that allow magic penetration? Ring of cold, cloaks, wizard robe etc. |

for Magier:
I agree in a way. BUT, chaos magic can beat many slower factions OR defence builds which are extremely strong. Chaos magic also almost always beats dark casters.
So it’s pretty much Rock Paper Scissors.
Might beats magic. Defence beats might. Magic beats defence. |

chaos magic cant win anything that wears the set with 50% magic resist because a caster wastes all these pointsfor mana and dmg and the other guy just halves them with no cost.
I mean no cost in skill points because the armor comes in a nice price like a good pay to win game we are :) |

defence is a basic parameter like spell power and mana WHY THERE IS NOTHING THAT CUTS DEFENCE IN HALF AND ATTACK AND THERE IS FOR MANA AND SPELL POWER
