| dont give up on your toon. when i came back i was lv 13 almost 14 with super trash fsl. i grinded hard to catch up and in 3 levels of grinding im competitive stat wise and fsp. at the end of lvl 16 i can be top 50 on my level stat wise(currently 260) you probably wont be able to do exactly what i did or as fast as i pumped some serious diamonds into catching up through the various catch up mechanics they implemented. |
ITT people not understanding the psychological blow of the merge 'just fix your character', 'it only takes a few levels'
Imagine spending years grinding and min maxxing your character to find out overnight that it is absolute noob tier. For a game that is essentially optimisation that's a bit hard to swallow.
Now a returning player who may have been pretty good back in the day has to spend 1 to 2 years minimum just to make the character average (losing in the process), and will always be chasing the current elite. |
There is nothing wrong with being average. Ive been back for 3-4 months and im "avarage" while being pumped back in 2012.
My stats are a bit lower then average (WG/CG/HG) but that is okay. I dont want to be the best, im fine with average.

With the latest changes you can easily recover, many did after a long break, people who say to restart have recently came back and don't know or haven't yet understand how helpful those changes are for characters that have stay behind about.
You can catch up, no need to restart.
Also not everyone cares or wants to play commanders guild, it is wrong to solely advise someone on that base. |

This player asks a question about destroying items and you randomly start talking about the fact that his account is not good enough and therefore he should start again.
It was not about restarting an account, he asked about items and you immediately started denigrating his account.
Players then pick up on this and make a new account anyway, because in other words, you suck.
Nice to hear that you are bad when you ask a question about an item. Think more about how you communicate to people before you start talking about something that doesn't benefit the player at that moment.
If you were just talking about the item, he would have noticed himself that he was behind and might have asked what he could do to get back to "normal". Your way of communicating is just not OK and basicly just lost us a player.
