players who's in the top of the leaderboard
usually are low levels

something to do with the fact that after like lv 13 every level multiplies the meat of enemies by like 2x or something like that for the same difficulty.
so for instance if level 13 faces 100000 farmers for a fight difficulty of 10000 then a level 14 would face 200000 for the same difficulty and so on.

| I would have enjoyed the event more if the gold were awarded immediately after each battle win. For a few times, I had to scrape every corner of my coffer to come up with enough gold to continue the event. Hope the final gold award would be able to cover most of my loss. :-( |

Man, you read my mind. That's exactly what I plan to do. Renting arts from the clan costs too much. Too bad I didn't do it much earlier. :-( |
Maybe join a clan which doesnt compel you to scrape every corner of your coffers to rent arts, Im sure there are plenty around
I never did events competitively tbh, budget arts it is for me with the rings of thorns and ruby helmet steel boots shield of glory and that kinda stuff for nice stress free casual play :P |
| This is not a clan event, so there is no pressure from the clan for me to do well in this event (they actually "discourages" me from participating in this event by not offering loans to non-clan events :-D ). I simply got too hooked up by the event myself :P |
