Bad phrasing on my part. More like, relatively less useful.

Looking at the battle that SlayerOfAll posted, he is facing 140 attack vs 30 defense on average when Rayzar attacks.



So his multiplier will go from 110 to 140 if he has full ignore defense. That's <30% increase in damage.
That's comparable to a value gained from Bravery/savage, and a lot less than Double strike/shot.


Also, with bloodlust Rayzar could end up with 160 attack, making ignore defense even less valuable proportionally.
Mostly agreeing with ProZyk:

The formula provided in the "about game section" includes a (1+0.05(A-D)) term. If the defending stack has 30 defense and Rayzar has 160 attack, then:

(1+0.05*(160-30)) => 7.5
(1+0.05*(160-0)) => 9.0

Thus, ignoring defense gave us a 9.0/7.5 => 20% damage improvement.

For a weaker Rayzar:
(1+0.05*(90-30)) => 2.5
(1+0.05*(160-0)) => 4.0
4.0/2.5 => 60% damage improvement

So yes, ignore defense becomes less worthwhile the more attack you have. Though 20% is still a lot of extra damage. More than Savage (15% conditional), close to Bravery based on the average performance on morale (10% per pt).
