| I would surely go if it was for 125 diamonds. But 250 seems too much. Although if you can wait till black friday, you might get it for 200 diamonds, assuming 25% discount applies there too. |
I would go for it if I still had a main faction.
But cl18+, your main faction is the current faction. In fact people seem to discourage even taking any faction level to 13.
I'll probably buy it if I take a special liking to some faction and get on the journey to fsl13. |
Yeah, I think 125 diamonds would be perfect. Personally I would be fine with paying 100 to 150 diamonds at most. I assume admins have done their own analysis and pricing strategy for this, but I think it is more likely for 2 different players to buy 1 image each for 125 diamonds compared to 1 player buying 1 image for 250 diamonds. Imagine if you bought knight image and another better knight image gets released in the future, you need to spend 250 diamonds again to get it. Don't think many players would do that. If the price is lower, some players would probably do that. Maybe if a short-term discount is given for existing images when new images get released, it will be the best of both worlds.
I guess the pricing could have something to do with the price of existing UCIs. If the price is 125 diamonds, a player could spend 1250 diamonds for all factions to get basically the same benefits of those who spent 1500/1800 diamonds, which would piss off spending players. But there is an argument for paying extra for unique customization.
The only way 250 diamonds could be justifiable is if the images can be earned in game such as through grinding events and if you were to pay a premium, you could bypass the grind. Other than that, I kind of struggle to justify buying the images at the current price, especially during an economic downturn and it is like a weeks worth of expenses for me. |
Think of it as buying 1 stat point as opposited to buying an image.
You get to match UCI holders on stats for 10% the price. That's the appeal to me. |

| The parameter is only for the particular faction for which you purchase the image though. Compared to UCI which permanently gives +1, this is way inferior. If you like to switch around factions for pvp, this is hardly worth it. And tbh I find all the looks pretty low effort and somewhat lame except necromancer. |

| Seeing a lot more elves (defense and Nature) in EOFO now. Their 14 trees become 17 now, and boy is it painful for a non-mage to kill 17 defending trees. |

Well I guess those few diamonds that trickle in over events, I could save for a long time and get one for a whole +1 stat, some of the time. Probably more useful to me than any time saving for speeding up waiting for hunts etc, or else saving gold on Abu Bakr.
Other than that, cannot see me caring enough to actively buy diamonds just for it. Here is to saving for quite some time! |
Black Friday should bring 15% discount so the upgrade should cost 212 diamonds.
If one buys with game gold, it means 212*15.000=3.180.000 gold. Although this is a lot, it is possible to save that much in 9-12 months and some players actually might go for it. |
