It’s been a while since any disturbing news came from one of the most traditionally troubled sections of the Empire’s border. Ever since the elite officer Trolmon and a detachment of brave daredevils restored order in its vicinity, the local patrol has lowered its guard without the regular clashes with robbers from the Bandit Wastelands. More than a month of peace and quiet, by local standards, was almost an eternity. But calmness often foretells a storm.

The clanging of swords, the whistling of arrows, and the roar of battle - the siege of the border imperial fortress has been going on for several hours now after a precarious raid under the cover of darkness. The confusion and fear of the first few moments have long since receded, making way for courage and still not forgotten combat mastery. This fort will not fall! Neither now, nor tomorrow. Its defenders were only worried about the feeling of powerlessness from being unable to aid others. It was just a diversionary strike, but while it pinned these forces down here, the nearby settlements were left unprotected. Hope was given only by the cry of the griffin rushing away in the direction of the Capital, carrying in its claws a request for reinforcements.

Valiant Lords and Ladies! The border guards report a sudden raid of bandits on their fortifications and urgently request reinforcements to protect the nearby peaceful villages. Therefore, Warlord Grammith calls upon all those who care to step into the ranks of the fearless defenders of the Empire, and help to protect its loyal citizens from the insidious cruelty of the ruthless brigands. As many innocent residents as possible must be saved!



Combat briefing:
1) All Lords and Ladies of combat level 5 and higher, wearing shop artifacts are invited to participate, enchantments have no effect.
2) The initial population of the village equals 1000 for each Lord or Lady.
3) Important! During the settlement defence battles, the Lord or Lady will be joined by villagers whose number will be 10% of the total population but not more than 150. The villagers will not appear on the battlefield at once, but will begin to leave the houses on the 4th, 5th and 6th turn of the battle. The houses will be heavily reinforced, and if by some incredible calamitous misfortune the enemy manages to destroy them before the civilians leave, they will automatically run out of the destroyed house.
4) Battles are fought in a 1-on-1 format.
5) After the battle, every 10 surviving villagers gain a unit of resources, and each surviving house increases the population by 30.
6) With resources, it is possible to repair houses, build and repair towers, increase their damage and durability as well as add new abilities.
7) It costs 10 resources to repair a house, and 20 resources to repair a tower.
8) Each day 12 battles will be available, the unplayed attempts are carried over to the next day. A total of no more than 72 battles can be fought. The last day to finish the battles — June 6.
9) Victories may reward you with Mercenaries’ Guild points, creature armaments and artifacts from Artifact shop. Furthermore, after the defense is over, the Empire will reward all worthy defenders with gold.
10) Overall successes during the event will be further marked with parts of special artifacts and more:


for 10 victories: 1 part and 5 Elixirs of restoration;
for 20 victories: 2 parts;
for 30 victories: 3 parts, 5 Elixirs of restoration and Abu-Bakir's Charm lasting for 10 days;
for 40 victories: 4 parts;
for 50 victories: 5 parts and 5 Elixirs of restoration;
for 60 victories: 5 parts and a detachment of rare creatures to reserve;

As well as up to 10 parts of Fear shield at the final awarding taking into account the individual contribution to the success of the operation.

Extremely important! During this event, the "Battle Exhaustion" system is in effect. Starting from the 15th turn of any battle, the Lords’ and Ladies’ talent 'Mana recovery' will cease to function. The same will hold for the troop abilities 'Life drain' and 'Battledive' of units in the Lords’ and Ladies’ armies. Additionally, all enemy units will gain the ability 'Attentive', and an increase in initiative and speed. Notifications corresponding to this exhaustion will appear as a warning 1 turn before and at the onset of exhaustion.

- The top 75 military clans and all their active members will be specially rewarded. Awarding will be based on the final clan ranking, where the final result will be equal to the sum of gained points of the Top 100 Lords and Ladies of the clan.
- All unblocked Lords and Ladies of successful military clans will be rewarded if they bring at least 3,000 points to the clan.
- If a Lord or Lady leaves or is evicted from a military clan, the clan loses all the points the Lord or Lady gained for that clan, if they rejoin the clan, all the points will be returned to the clan.
- Leaving the clan on the last day of the event and before the award ceremony is forbidden .
- Admission to military clans from the second day of the event and onwards will be limited to three Lords or Ladies per day.
- Important! Lords and Ladies who carried out 40 or more battles, regardless of their result, will not be able to join any military clan until the event is over.

Tactical tips:
Think about the initial correct placement of the towers. For instance, if you place them on the first line — they will be broken more often; if you place them further away from the enemy, they will deal less damage due to the greater distance. Try to move the army forward to protect civilians, and also take into account the timing of them leaving the houses so that they don't accidentally block the way for infantry attack units..

Important! The Lords and Ladies with the largest population and number of wins after the end of all the fights will be generously rewarded by the Empire! In addition to gold, a trophy artifact will also be awarded, and its durability will be determined by the Lord’s or Lady’s combat level, results of related levels, and faction (regardless of class). The faction to be counted is based on if it was used for at least one battle, and that it performed the best among all the Lords and Ladies of the given faction.
