I might be late in announcing this, but the staged combat rule (3.16, general game rules) has been updated. It is NOT illegal to travel without army (or with just 1 unit) and fall into thief ambushes. Players will not be subjects to punishment for this action.
The change in this rule was implemented thanks to the International Community Council clan that has replaced the Military Clan Council. (https://www.lordswm.com/clan_info.php?id=7739)

That cannot be entirely accurate. i'm less than the 1.6x for level 7 FSP, yet i still get force-fed tons of extra xp. |

you are really missing the point... You are not the only one who gets more exp (on .ru) because your fsp is 1.6 times higher than the average... All such players are affected and so nobody who has so many fsp is in advantage against you. You can do 500 battles now and still you will be above the average because in some point you won't receive extra exp anymore.
Extra exp which you gain now doesn't make you weaker compared to other players, do you get it? You just can't get still better and better in fsp compared to other players of your level, this is what the update brings and it works for everyone. |
Missing the point? Not one tiny bit.
XP makes me weaker compared to other players, do you get it? That's the entire point of the mechanic. Powerlevel me a bunch with xp so i get as weak as noobs who can't play right. This isn't even the main reason i'm angry though. Or want to start over.
I never took any measures to specifically reduce my xp gain somehow. I did, however, blow a lot (relatively speaking. I'm sure there are players who blew dozens of millions of gold, just to get all that erased completely) of money on events that gave some extra fsp, or guild points, as VERY much encouraged by the administration. I will ask you, what was the point of events that required loads of AP to get a good FSP ratio, only for the admins to say a few months later: "Hahahah, sucker, now we'll pile you with xp anyway! And no, you don't get your hundreds of thousands of gold back, either."
Gold though, i can work back. That's not the issue. My biggest problem is: I gained 160 FSP points in Steppe Barbarians when they launched the faction, and had a 15% FSP bonus for them. (Just another ploy by the admins to troll the hell out of players a few months later, obviously). Now, my fsp is counted from both factions: as if i was a necro with a FSP of 633, while i'm one with 472 fsp and a 160 in a faction that i don't really play anymore, and which doesn't actually give me a bonus to my necro. The only bonus being 12% defense if and ONLY if i face steppe barbs in battle - a bonus i don't think is worth getting piled with 60% extra xp.
Multi-factioning people got screwed SO HARD by this update.
This is really ironic. I made my .ru char because this one - on .com - put it simply, sucks. And my .ru one was much better. However, when the merge comes, i might take this one, since it has almost only 1 faction's fsp, and it sucks according to the rules, so i won't be forcefully made weaker like in .ru xD |

I find this statement ironic and amusing.
you are only lvl 9 and your fps is higher and average in .ru but you are desperate already? what do you think players at 13+ level should do? roll back and start over?
do you think that the only way to win a pvp battle is to have 2 times fsp than your opponent?

It doesn't. :-) Other players are just getting closer to you but if you will continue in keeping good ratio, they will never be better...
Well, admins simply don't like those who are only camping and waiting for suitable occasions where it is possible to get good exp/fsp ratio. They want to force such players to change their style (even though players hate that). Moreover for admins it is probably a solution for .com vs .ru fsp issue... |

well I don't think it will fix the fsp gap issue, but I do think admins meant to hammer some intentional fsp farmers for the benefit of all other players. |

That's just my problem. I'm not a fsp farmer. All i did was participate heavily in the steppe barb, new year's and the time travelling event. Events where admins themselves offered higher fsp for all who wanted to grab it - how is it my fault some people didn't? Yet i'm getting hammered. |
