Imagine those 1k players playing on ru in 1 or maybe 2 or 3 mil clans spend time with friends and enjoy the no1 online game,
I tell you i played lots of battles in the war with russians that did not understand a word i was saying, but still had a great time there |
Personally, I started playing other online games. I registered a strategic web game I can practice when I see fit (and in my native language). And when I have time in evenings, I practice a neat MMORPG where I play with RL friends. It rocks! Broadening my gameplay helped me a lot putting things in perspective.
Someone once told heroeswm.ru success could be explained by the lack of similar games in Russian. It makes sense. But this is definitely not true for lordswm.com.
Involving too much here (time-wise or money-wise) is definitely not healthy. No one should take Lords of War and Money seriously, let alone pay hard cash for it. As a community of enthusiasts, this is our collective fault. On the other hand, administration can easily be blamed for depicting this game as a "serious" one when they're obviously not up to the task.
Gibberish rules, incomprehensible game logic, random justice, bland computer-generated tournaments, laughable priorities... And a cat picture as Empire avatar. Yeah, that does the trick.
Let this Townhall meeting (pardon - "Townhll meeting" as per thread title, there's irony everywhere!) open the eyes of the last people deluding themselves.
