I have not said, that alt necro is super, or better than classic necro. We just have alternative. Till now, we could only play classic necro. Now we have choise. We should be happy about that. Again, no one force you play alt necro, if you dont like it.
Its similar like dark demon, or light knight. They are alternative. But what i see, a lot of people play them like classic might builds, just because dark demon have got fiends and light knight have got wardens. I doubt, that most people play those alt factions for their nice racial abilities. And maybe with alt necro is problem (for someone), that he doesnt have any "key" unit.
When someone expected alt necro with 400 crosbows, battle fury and 5 luck, so sorry, not realistic and it would bring more "hate" topics than now :). |

if we have this new necro in the last event, i think this new necro will be so weak, just because we dont have good troops enough, this spell raise he dont go help to kill enemy, ist the raeson in the last event, we fight against a lot crossbows, not skeleton legionaire.
in 3x3, 3 new necro vs 3 elf this will be easy for elfs, they just need use gb and druid to shot 1 by 1, maybe necro is great in 1vs 1 but i dont think in 3 vs 3 is great |

Judging some fights around involving alt-necros, they don't rely much on unit abilities nor play as might builds (which cant do imo as they have mediocre units to put it mildly). They prevail mostly by using a mixture of ressing-magic build which brings them a bit closer to wizards. Also this alt-necro seems to grow stronger with him picking some nice but costly talents at the talent tree which focus on anything but +attack.
If you play him like that you don't rely much to units abilities and thus making him a bit more stable and not-sooo-nerve-wrecking. Maybe that's the "right" way to play him guys? |
everyone are complaining no just for skeletal xbow , guess what wil happen when dark elves will see their shadow mistress(dark witches) losing their shooting ability which will make De pure might and they will have no shooters in their army.calm down guys necro alt is really strong in pvp |

If you take a look at the alt nec troop in general,
then sure, they all get worst in terms of individual survivability.
But that's what raise dead's for.
Plus I think there's a really nice synergy going on for alt nec
skel leg and ghoul auras are nice, polt ammo steal is nice
vamp sleep is in itself like triggered no retal, but the target also does not retaliate the attack that breaks the lethargy
Sure, vamp itself will have shorter lives, but it gives no retal to other troops instead
They are all specialised in benefiting the rest of the team in a long run rather than individual survival to me.

I don't know about higher lv, but we get a lich boost in CL8 and we can essentially raise the whole thing back up again in one go.
So it's really nice against computer caravans
I am having a lot of troubles with fast enemy like elfs and de though
But I wouldn't quickly jump to any conclusion at this stage
It make more sense to get used to the new class first and at least find out what works and what doesn't for them :) |
Would be too interested in seeing some successfull thieving for alternate necros.
I m sure no expert but as far as i ve seen some very good pvp battles with them and thieving nowadays has more in common with pvp than on former .com times i can imagine it should be working somehow.
Would be cool if someone finds successfull ambushes from players. |

I think, alt necro is amazing against caravans. 30-35 AP is enough for him to defeat the most of caravans (in solo ambushes and depending on the partner in double ambushes as well). You just need proper tactic suitable for ambushes. But I must also write, I don't have so difficult caravans as I haven't played TG in full AP, only in around 30-35, maybe for those, whose caravans are extremely deadly, it would not be so effective :) But I am satisfied, so far I was able to win the most of my ambushes I just had a reason why I didn't do so. |

I don't think they will change anything but the recruit.
Looking at some battles, I do believe I've understood why the new alt is collecting good and bad outlooks.
It is an excellent (but boring) army when you are CL 14+, a waste of time if you are CL 13 or less.
Maybe with the future impementation of th and 5th magic guild levels, they will became even interesting. I am not sure about it cause they have only nature magic and this is a strong limitation.
Fore sure they are also a good way to allow high level player to shift to the forgotten necro faction and be able to enjoy the battles with a decent army. This was probably the aim of the developers while creating the "<CL 13 un-useful necro". So we loose also the advantages that were achieved struggling on the long and difficult path of the REAL necromancer... |
