for naviron:
Cos we need to be sober to kill demons? We could attack and take over Pandemonium and get new lands, split evenly between the War Clans. Then we can attack any other lands from there through the gates...
Stay Sober, Not Thirsty! |
hey, when will we get gnomes as .ru sever,? |
for Blendz:
When we behave and act responsibly. We must prove we can take good care of them. Feed them and wash them regularly... |
Why is .ru celebrating x-mass now? I've always known that Russians are a few hours difference from my time, but just a few hours...not two weeks!...
Are Russians using different calendar? Or do they have a totally different Christmas day? |
Russia celebrates Christmaa as declared by the Orthodox Church's calendar, i believe. And the Orthodox Church celebrates it on the 5th of Jan.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. |
Russia celebrates Christmas as declared by the Orthodox Church's calendar. And the Orthodox Church celebrates it on the 7th of Jan. |
Sorry. Typo. My fault. |
for Asmodin:
for Takesister:
It is not true, Greece and Romania also use the Orthodox Calendar, and I know for a fact that they celebrate Christmas on December 25.
I don't think it is because of the Orthodox Church or the Orthodox Calendar. |
Orthodox Church celebrates it on the 7th of Jan. -- this part I meant It is not true. |
I think it's because the Russian Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar as opposed to the Gregorian Calendar like the Greek Orthodox Church. |
is server down? |
It is not true, Greece and Romania also use the Orthodox Calendar, and I know for a fact that they celebrate Christmas on December 25.
indeed..i know because i am from romania lol...about russian i dont know...maybe they wanted to be apart from others..freaks! |
for i-wont-die:
Please behave. Don't call other people names. |
The Romanian and Greek Orthodox Churches are using a revised Julian calendar (from 1923), celebrating Christmas at 25 December, while few Orthodox Churches (Russian included here) decided to still use the Gregorian calendar. |
for crys41:
it's true if you change Julian to Gregorian and vice versa. :) |
Russian and Serbian ortodox churches steel use Julian calendar (maby the Egiptian coptic church too, not shure about them), in greece majority (called newbelivers- since 1923) use gregorian calendar (the diference between two calendars is 13 days now), and minority (oldbelivers) use Julian calendar. |
A coulple of lvl15ers and 16ers got blocked over the new year (~10) does anyone know why? |
On .ru they are sometimes too fast with the block button. This player (he payed for a UCI) is blocked because of a PM:
