Hiya fellow knights,
X-Bows rocks for certain battles like hunts.
I don't know about higher levels, but at my lvl (10), the knight's hunting records top almost all other factions for the higher tier 6-7 neutral hunt creatures, esp non-shooting ones, some even 2-3x better than most other factions' records.

Of course, xbows can't be used for all types of neutrals but it's good to know that we have troops in our army that out-perform other factions' at certain battles. :)
At the highest levels, the xbows itself may not be as effective, but we can more than hold our own in most duels/PvP battles against other factions.
Generally, knights get stronger and stronger once you get to level 8 onwards. That's when we get the faster initiative troops like the Monks and Calvary (Angels even if you get to tier 7) to support the (Royal) Griffins.
Oh, and once a knight gets the Royal Griffins, no enemy shooters can even hide behind a wall anymore. We don't even have to waste any talent points to reach hunt shooters on the very first turn. :)
The knights army is then no more called the Granpa's Army (that's what I used to call my army at earlier levels. haha..)

xbow (with Aimed shot) are really good against those high defence creatures. The another great faction will be wizard (the hunting king) for them. BTW, where is wizard in the data, did you hid it on purpose? :p |

Haha.. No, buddy. I left out Wiz coz their records are mostly (all?) all magic build and most other factions can't do that kind of magic damage the Wiz does even if they wanted to. :p
My comparison is based mostly on a faction's troops, and not the Hero itself. :) |

1 more thing you will just realized that those are high tier + high def + large creature. knight will never be good hunter on killing those mass swarm low tier unit.
We don't even have to waste any talent points to reach hunt shooters on the very first turn. :)
nope, you might need to waste some offense talent to get tactic to block shooter |

I want to flip a few pages back and recall Jedi's post 1089. A post about knights and thieving. I'll try to beat this record and get to TG4 within level 8. I don't know if getting exp. for 280 successful ambushes will exceed level 8 limit so I expect this to be the only obstacle.
And now to one question. I want to build mage guild level 2 and I don't know how to distribute points I get for reaching level 8. So far I've taken all attack bonuses except on level 5 when I took one knowledge point. I'm over 75% sure another knowledge point is a good choice since I can buy Cape of magical power and then my primary stats would look like this: +9, +3, 0, +2 without arts and: +15, +18, +2, +2 with arts included.
What do you think? What kind of distribution of points is best for level 8 knight? |

training chamber allows you tou recruit more troops, depends from your faction skill. See your profile - you make good. =) |

Grats on getting your TG2 so early in the game. Well done. :)
Yes, it's definitely doable to get TG4 before you reach level 9, except for the exp from winning 280 ambushes, like you mentioned. Not sure how much exp those 280 Tg wins is gonna give you, but if you intend to do hunts, quests, GBs as well, then the exp might bring you over to lvl 9. :)

So far I didn't really know knights potential. Since I gathered over 110k gold in level 6 two friends (one of them knight) encouraged me to start thieving early. Level 6 thieving for knight felt relaxed and not expensive. After dropping from 110k gold to none (as soon as I reached level 9 I felt like I hit a wall).
So after completing TG2 I've continued with merc quests, work enrollment and hunts. That way gold inflow is at least positive. A day ago I got 2.5 enrollment multiplier and today I finished merc level 2 (which brought me another offense point which wasn't calculated in previous equation).
I seldom do GBs, I chose my merc quests and I started to avoid red hunts to reduce cost of too many arts usage. All that just to get rich enough to be prepared for level 8 castle upgrades. I just can't wait to get monks, xbows and next mage guild level at the same time. |
Are my arts fine for level 7 they are sword of retribution and dfender shield and if not dont give me a expensive set becuase i only have 92,198 gold 5 wood 14 ore 3 mercury 3 sulphur 12 diamonds and 12 gems only |
