more than 50 swords still in play. escort worked wonders

Yep; works great against caravans with 10 stacks of bowmen. You can even put your swords on defense and wait till they run out of ammo.
trust me, max xbow + bless + chastise + rapid + Luck = WONDERFULEST (!) thing for you in hunt.

consider that you are using exact min ap + magic talent build. i dont think you still can luck from talent.

Don't you know that knights are too pretentious persons to be in rush? You should sit down, relax, and think about purport of the universe, eternity of existence and sharpness of your sword to be shure that you are able to make all things right like they should be. Only then you should change your faction as knight if you weren't him from the very beginning, otherwise great difficulties await you on your true(current) path. Especially, without recruits).
As for the question, at 5th lvl max griffs, swords, then bowmen+3recruits will do fine. For everything, mostly.

U can have luck with min AP, but not with talent though. Since the hunt creatures' numbers are insane once u hit >HG5, defense is a luxury in hunts since 1 hit from any hunt stack would probably kill your stack anyway. So I play around with,

Sword of Retribution (5AP)
Reprisal Sword (3AP)
Amulet of Luck (2AP)
Defender Shield (3AP)
Leather Armor (1AP)

1 way or another, I gotta have luck in all my battles, with or without magic. Not gonna give up the chance of dealing double damage, esp if it falls on.. max xbow + bless + chastise + rapid + luck. Sometimes, it makes the difference between victory and defeat. :)

I asked some pages ago about enfeeble talent, if it works also on escort strikes. I tested this and it does work.

So how much weakness does the escorted strike do? According to Dark Magic talent level you have on?
...and since it's not cast by the Hero, for how many turns does the Escorted Enfeeble strike last?

The duration is according to your SP and fallen knight talent (which add +5 to SP), so for me it was 7 turns.
About how much it was reduced it should be -9 to defence, since i was used adv darkness (no talent points remain for exp darkness).

Maybe u can show us the link where u used it, so I can have a look to confirm it was -9 ro defense. It might be useful for some battles.. although I'm not sure what type yet. haha..

Quite a few pages back, i did see your post on fallen knight. worked initially, with shrews being the main victims of it xD

but after some time the effect wasnt as effective especially in Pvp mostly due to my heavy reliance on my hero to attack single stacks of reta-takers and escorting. but it IS a good tactic, just not yet for me =P

It is not showed all the reduction since hobs had only 4 attack
weakness on hunt is quite overrated.

most low tier creature wont have high atk; while high tier creature doesnt lose much combat effect from weakness.

some mid tier, tier 4-5 creature include tier 3 orc (they can bloodlust) can make good use with your weakness to harm them hard. but again, it doesnt make sense for sometimes. why? it wasnt the quality (stats) problem but quantity (massive amount) kick you hard.

i got some hunt record on orc and orc warchief with dark built. it work wonderful if you use it correctly. weakness + confusion + delay = easy job on chop them

you make alot mistake.

1st, you shouldnt split bowmen. keep them all in 1 big stack to kill rouge asap. perhaps split some 1 bowmen to be a wall to protect from rouge and take retal.

2nd, you suppose max swordsmen without spiting them and get all the swordsmen chop the rouge once get near.

3rd, it was advised to send all your decoy forward and let them dead. your swordsmen will get enraged, an advantage from those dead unit to increase atk.

poison is the only good for lv8 at the beginning in PvP. why? simple, poison doesnt need dark mastery to increase the effective

once you can get more talent point to help, other dark spell like confusion, weakness and delay will help alot later on.

nice battle, can see that you actually made your opponent out of action by some spells.

but how effective can it be if we knights generally need loads of defense to survive? i dont see how my swords/guardians will be able to take loads of damage without it, so where will my basic Knw and SP come from?
