i think as a thief, barb is very good at lv6,and DE is excellent at lv8,

| for a level 7 i think a dark elf with or with out shrews and with hight invantve and he has to be a melee one of course |

i think elfs with efk are much better then shrews in thiefing.
they have almost the same init but can attack many stacks at ones, first kill one outer stack and then walk in and kill all around you.
shrews are good for the first hit, but after that they most likely die before moving again or at least loose alot of units, and they had only killed one stack in their first turn

| DE is realy good, but u have to know how to place and devide ur army, i mean aginst deamon and undead u should have a big stack of shrews and 2 small , against wizard 3 medium stacks of shrews to kill stacks of magies , but in all cases u must use shrews to open the way for lizard full charge to kill the big unit, and if there is no big unit hydra is really effective in killing everything small around. |

i have played both factions and still think that efk is better in thiefing, their range might me smaller, but that is no problem in thief battles.
shrews are also good, but when you have a caravan with 4 * 4 full of units, whats better then make a hole and kill all around you.
in some fights where you have 5 stacks of hydras then i think shrews are better though |

| I have been playing as DE for most of my thief missions...and they are awesome. Compared to a few clan mates of mine who are Elves and complain how hard the missions are---they are pretty easy as a DE. I must have won at least 90% of my thief missions since level 8 up to now. |
| I think both, DE and Elves are very good faction if you want to ambush. Because of shrews and EFKs. Barbarians are very good too. Then all the others. |
