Swartalf, it's not about not letting you say anything, it's just - if you don't have anything constructive to add to the discussion, well, don't! And saying something just for the sake of saying is plain immature.

Just to keep players a little more contented.
I have posted a topic for admins to see about this discussion and your (the players) concerns as well as a few of my own ideas concerning this. We will await their answer together.
Also, I've gotten word also of the next event. It's a goody and should make up for alot of people's current sour feelings. (And NO, don't think to contact me to tell you what it's about). =) |

just to revive this thread and to add something:
I think the administration should at least care for the donations they receive, because i did a donation at 15:58 Apr 01, and i am still waiting for the diamonds and an answer regarding a question about further donations.
More on Topic:
I also think there shouldbe more policing in this game, and even if this is only a secondery project, at least one person should care for this server, because this way it may grow, otherwise there may be a bad future.
I understand that the admin-staff are also "only human" but it would be nice to get at least an annoncement like:
Dear Community, recently we are at hollidays, but we didnt forget about you, and your problems will be handeld, just give us some time and have some patience.
Because i think worse then no policy or updates etc. is the lack of any informations at all.
So my final words:
You really do a great work with this server dear admins, but plz give us some information if you have to shift your attention to an other project for some time, so we know when you will be back, and you didnt forget us.

ive seen games like this .....
1 example : METIN2.UK ( cant give ya link cuz its advertising & il get ban 4 it )
anywho , metin2 is another MMORPG & its available for lot of diff countries , but the UK one is the one thats messed up the most
their updates come once in .... 4-9 months & each and every 1 of them is incomplete , yet admins took the freedom to power abuse , change game rules by allowing the "bad boy style" ( pretty much scamming is now not bannable there)

| one thing is for certain: until the event on the russian server is over, we will not get ANY updates whatsoever. It's hard enough for the devs to run a big event on one server. It's practically mission impossible to effectively run events on BOTH servers. So we just have hang with em until they turn their attention to us (hopefully they haven't abandoned us). |
I have been reading this topic regularly since it started and now I decided to share my opinion.
I agree that it's like wild west here. You can violate any rule except forum ones and you are very likely not punished. It only takes a minute to look at the CaA section of the forum and figure this out.
If this server was created with an ambition to attract tens of thousands of people from all over the world (which I believe is its potential), then admins should start treating it like it. You cannot expect to get a lot of players before you make an effort. And please don't start telling me how great admins' work is. I am very grateful for the new server. But there isn't enough events to keep this game interesting for long.
At first there are new things you can look forward - you gain new levels fast getting new units, you can start merc quests, thieving and enchanting/smithing. But then there are no new things to do because we have about 4 interesting events in a year.
There are 50000 players from levels 2-5 (level 1s aren't included here)
But less than 6000 that have level 6 or more.
Obviously something is wrong here since the first levels are the fastest to pass.
IMO as long as this server is treated as a smaller and less important it will remain such. |

| yep, the event is finished, but they didn't even add the dwarves as a new faction, and the war wasn't over by wiping 'em all out or making peace with the reminders, but by the dwarves running away from there on sea. maybe they are planning on cruising all the way from .ru to .com ? |

But I agree that just because we are fewer in numbers that we should be treated like 2nd class citizens. The donations from this server count the same (or more since here we pay with euros and not dollars ;)

Sounds like our dragon event. We finished the pier and lighthouse and then all the dragons disappear with no new event or update in sight.
As citizenerased said, this server has great potential. They just need to do something about it to help it realize that potential.
There are too many people breaking the rules and getting away with it. if the admins are too busy prepping the next update or taking care of the other server, then at least let the players police themselves. have a handful of people (forum mods maybe?) and have them a "police guild" of sorts where they could dish out at least temporary bans pending a review by one of the admins.
They have to do something. doing nothing is NOT an option if they intend to attract new players or at least keep the ones they do have. If those who are active and donating leave, then this server will die a slow and painful death. Please do not let that happen administrators!! |

We are turning into anarchy...
Mods are doing a good job banning and using to the best their powers. But cheaters are becomeing more and more daring. Today they started to tease moderators as you can see in "Complaints and applications".
When the admins will come back, there will be so many report in "Complaints and applications" that they hardly manage them...
This is both incomprihensible and sad. |
Somehow the cheaters were severely punished! This is a good new, there is hope!
