He was credited with 30k donation on clan page towards battle clan upgrade since his contribution was a "gift for me" or "for clan." I know that MrHellraiser probably did the same thing and put the gold into clan treasury, but even if he did not, lopus' 'gift' is well under his 30% mark with this data provided.
There are no restrictions at this time towards donations for clan/clan-treasuries, there are restrictions on taxes (section 3.51), but not donations--or else every single clan currently raising funds for the future clan upgrade is in violation. So restricting clan donations would thwart everyone's efforts at raising the necessary capital.

I made an error above, the correct section regarding taxes (which #153 does not have anymore as of the last week in March) was:
3.15.1. Weekly clan taxes mustn't exceed 300*[character combat level] gold. The maximal term for advance payment is 1 month, it is illegal to prepay and to collect taxes for longer periods.

3.15. Large transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden. Presents must not exceed 30% of the monetary property of the character per month. Monetary property is considered: gold + seven primary resources (wood, ore, mercury, sulfur, crystals, gems, leather) only. Rare trophies, Thief invitations, etc. transferred as gifts are valued at market price.
I read this as the combined gifts of the character must not exceed 30% per month.

This is 60% in 1 month. Also there is no mention in the rules that states presents to clans as an exception. In fact there is not mention of who or what the recipent is. The rules state Lopus can not give out more than 30% of his property period. Since 30% was transferred out already at 22:07 to limustudotcom then MrHellRaiser should return everything because Lopus already exceeded his 30% limit for the month. |

I don't make the rules.
I'm just saying this is a clear rule-break.
If MrHellRaiser holds it, then it still won't be next month's presents since the transfer log clearly shows this month. Unless it was noted as a "loan" for 30 days in which afterwards Lopus notes down in the transfer logs 30 days from now it is a "gift". There's also the 30% issue. The 30% limit for the gift to MrHellRaiser should be 30% of Lopus' May monetary property. If Lopus somehow ends up with 10,000 gold only in May, then the new 30% limit would be 3,000 gold max gift to MrHellRaiser. |
I would still wait for an official statement on the issue and return the cash if needed.
+ I would also consider the players artifacts, shown and not shown. Because from what we can see - we have an almost broken ring of inspiration and a half used equilibrium blade. What are the exact sale prices for those, and why aren't they used in the equation? Well it doesn't matter, we'll have to wait for administration to calculate how much exactly we could receive as a gift, and we would gladly return the rest to Lopus until next time he decides to pay a visit to our LWM world. |
