i,ve got a wiza..need to know...
init and morale on magi,hp def gargs, att hp golems. ths what i use
I am level 8 now and still have only a +5 Def on Gargyoles... +5% Ini on Magi and +4% Ini on Genies (a leftover i never sold... they are still usable, after all).

I mostly do PvE though, not PvP as I don't have quite enough gold to afford THAT.

Also, for recommended mini-arts go two wizard faction threads back (link in first post) - there is an excellent guide in the first posts.
init and morale on magi

I'd go for initiative and hp, so they don't get killed in 1 lightning ;)
magi are faster than druids, with morale can strike another time to them

Both have 10 base init, and elf has +3% init.
Even if mage (18 hp) moves first druid can still kill it: morale bost won't prevent that.
I have a problem ... i want to get my wizard to racial 8 before i lvl up
Most hunts r red with ! so they r impossible for me to do them
thieving even with full arts is impossible with wizard
There r no group battles or duels to join
I am only doing mq but soon they will all be impossible and i gain little fsp from them...
Any suggestions?

re: thieving.
Jabber suggested in his excellent wizard guide to use MH rings of dexterity in ambushes.
1.)I am considering this but will hunter arts function in ambushes?
2.)And if they do function in regular ambushes, do they also function in PvP ambushes?

3.)What do u think is the best skill set/arts combo for lvl. 10 wizards?
4.)Should I continue with a magic based wi, or switch to a might based wiz (using sword of might and basic holy magic for example)?
5.)Is it worth focusing on initiative based arts?
6.)Should I create thieving based triple mini-arts focusing on initiative (with att. and def.)?

In my humble opinion:

1.and 2.For hunter/mh/gh sets bonus,only "+1dmg" and "+ini%" works,and
"+% to neutral" have no effect since all the creatures you met have their lord.

3.Maybe min ap with combat staff and defender shield?
Just kidding. =p
I totally have no idea about this.
High level arts are so expensive that I can't afford them.=(

4.
more pvm =>magic
more pvp =>might or migic
I have no idea for thieving

5.Change to de or elf if you want such arts with more ini bonus.
Their troops are much faster,so the arts will have better effect.
Besides,I don't think wizards feature for their ini.

6.same reason with 5.

Also qs 3-6 were all in regards to thieving. Sorry if that wasnt clear. I well understand that all players switch to DEs for thieving but wonder if it is possible to work out a good wizard thieving strategy.

I only wish to use the MH ring of Dexterity (1or2).
Not a full set of hunter arts..
The increase at hero's initiative by 7% with MH ring of Dexterity applies to all battles (pvm, pvp, ambushes vs player & caravan).

Gargs initiative and no morale penalty makes them too slow for might. Genies can rarely get a hit on the core stacks in the most common 16 stack caravans. Might normally comes in use against DE and Barbarian caravans only, so I would recommend taking advantage of the ultimate fireball spell and use mainly magic with some elements of might.
to 19:
in my opinion, mini-arts should be bought early.
although you lose 10% you can improve your victory rate and save money from arts

Thieving as a wizard is difficult but not impossible.
Minis help and wiz have to play almost full arts most battles.
made lvl 2 with only 22 losses and stopped.
It is difficult to play Caravans without the Pve bonus
I prompt any wizard who likes thieving and wants lvl 4 to switch faction to DE the soonest.

Might based wizard is not an option for low levels.
On high levels the appropriate portion of might could be used -for PvP purpose- It depends on players' attitude what the portion is :-)

what i want to say, it depends on your style.... you planned already?
I think that at high lvls half-might and half-magic is the best combination.. For example a dominion of fire ( that reduces defense to 50% for 1 turn ) and a fireball ( especially in GBs ) is so cool. But it's very expensive to be might, as you need lots of mini-arts. BTW, it's also more fun, more strategy :D
