I wonder, you said More than 500 players, 46,7% (238) are cheaters.
How can you find out that? You should tell us more evidence. Otherwise, it does not make sense to me. :)
Did you studied proportions?
238 : 510 = x : 100 >>> 238 * 100 /510 = 46,7
x = 46,7%
If you are asking about evidence of cheating activity for every guy I've reported, 90% of them are easy catch. For the other 10% I'm ready to provide evidence to anyone who is asking. |
Reading through the first few posts I do feel an urge to clamp down on cheaters now. But still, there's always the BOTD for anyone on this game. Especially those who have multis, like me and my 3 brothers (yes, the whole family plays).
I do admit, having multis does mean more cash and such, and we did use that advantage at one point (we took loans from each other, and repayed in due time of course). I dont consider THAT cheating, but when I found out about these things, I totally stopped our practices.
There will be many exactly like us: we dont know that transactions between multis or family are illegal. But many abuse this rule too. And I feel thats the only problem Vonemar and every Good Samaritan out there faces.
Still I commend anyone who is going to try and clamp down on good-for-nothing cheaters. Just be reminded there's a few of us who really make use of the multis rule.

Only to help you understand it better, I really think we should have a better tutorial, with more and more clear link to the game rules. Another problem is that a big part of our comunity has not a good comprehension of the english language.
I think translations of the game rules in other languages should be a good help for the comunity. I'm ready to offer my time (again) to translate the game rules into italian. I'm also sure many will be ready to do the same in their onw country language.
I hope we'll get some sign from "Gods" sooner or later... Otherwise, any effort is wasted. |

I'm going to start the translation of game rules into italian and to post the translation somewhere. I will appreciate if any moderator could give me a suggestion (is there a place on the forum? Can we create one?)
The other matter (investigation upon clans) is temporarly stopped because I have less time to waste in the next weeks. A few signs are telling me to take a little break and wait before putting all those efforts on this server. |

Yes, you are right, but has we have lot of young players and not everyone is able to understand game rules properly. Automatic translators are often terrible in languages like mine. Even if official language is english, part of the cheating problem is related to lack of comprehension. I'm quite sure about it! A book of rules translated into many languages won't damage the international pourpose of the game...
The only problem I see, is the way the owners are forwarding every relation with their comunity. They seem to have some difficulty shareing a few trust.

There will never be such thing with free rewards for people. Looking on the past 1 year of this server ...
Although it would increase rules to be read by more. I once played another browsergame that had such an option, it didn't give much reward, but i still read rules to get it :)

We have a big problem with low. Its showed in rules and as i see now - in mind of our keepers. Even if there is no point in rules to put punish (brood) in your transfer log some keeper can find it.
And you trying to show rules for newcomers. For what? It will not help on 100% to prevent fine fore something! |

Punishment has nothing to do with the rulebreak itself, and unrightfull punishment (depends on point of view) for anything can be helped by going to the next higher authority. You heard of different courts in real law? If the judgement doesn't suit you in real life you go to appeal to the next higher court, as done here now. Admins are the Supreme Court ^^

To prevent atleast some rulebreaks before happening. And maybe even to increase amusement of this server again to what it was some time ago with a small moneygain even for the people knowing the rules already :/ |

Most people who break the rules do so not because they have not read them but because they have read them and think there is little chance of being punished.
The ONLY way to reduce cheating is to deal harshly with the small number of players who decide by their own choice to cheat. |
