Creatures AI

AuthorCreatures AI
Creatures are either getting a lot stupider or a lot smarter these days?
What do they prefer to attack first?
Cause lots of times they attack random creatures?
It seems their priorities have been changed. They seem to attack 1 unit stacks that can take retaliation, I guess. Shooters seem to run away when you stand near them, instead of just hiting you and getting killed from retaliation.

Both, depends on the situation

What do they prefer to attack first?
- Shooters/shrews/efks, basically all high init creatures and shooters/casters. - Stacks of '1' so other friendly stacks can shoot
They seem smarter, but these can be abused if you understand their pattern.
For example:
- caster/shooter priority drop ones they are out of mana/shots https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?lt=-1&warid=20559152 (look last magi)
- blocked shooters go away to the left (first move) even if there is no high priority on the left side of the battlefield https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?lt=-1&warid=20528839
- blocked shooters with no melee penalty don't run away but fight (checked on DE not knight's)
They seem definietly smarter!

1st example: stack of 9 death envoy attacks 1 (blocking)shrew instead of 20 lizzy to make room for stack of 50 death envoy to kill lizzy....

2nd example: blocked archers killed the blocking stack next to them before; nowadays they kill blocking stack of their neighbor stack to make it able to shoot!
its still not working properly.
A few ambushes again there were two stacks of monks left.
A stack of 9 monks and a stack of 12 monks. (both still had a few shots left)
I block the 9 monks with 1 gargoyle. Then the 12 monks kill the single gargoyle (with a ranged shot) then the 9 monks attack modern golems
