AuthorPosting signatures on threads...
So, what's up with Players signing their posts at the bottom of their comments? Is it arrogance? Abandonment issues maybe? Or could it just be sheer forgetfulness, as if they don't remember that each time a Player posts their name it automatically shows up off to the left over there...
<-----

Anyone got a clue to this?

- Skunder, out =D
u r doing it urself, but i think it is to show off or something
for Chance12:

I think he has done it to actually laugh at this manner :P
...a little cynicism...

So... Anyone got a clue to this?

Sincerely and with great confusion,
Skunder
Maybe they are trying to be formal and sign there post.

They're probably trying to get some attention. *sigh* What depths some people will fall to....

Dear Players,

You have supplied a couple of really great suggestions. Maybe it is arrogance, abandonment, forgetfullness, or as you've suggested merely needing attention (which may fall under arrogance or abandonment honestly) or simply formality. It is with this idea that I've come to the realization that all posts ought to be constructed in a formal letter - obviously that is the intent in signing one's name at the bottom of one of these. Right?

I think it's for those who are cross eyed . . . ? (Does that sound logical?)

I'm surprised that it's not forbidden XD

RE: Posting signatures on thread

Dear Skunder,

I refer to your posting dated 09 April, 2010 at 05:05:56 (https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1879012&page=0#380297).

It is with great astonishment that I have come to realize the truth of your words, and have decided to come forward in a show of support.

Sincerely,

Well, I've been doing it since long before I started playing this game. It's a habit I've developed from Forums in other games.

I actually think if more people did it, it would show up the illegal multi-characters more easily, because cheaters often forget which of their horde of illegal characters they are logged in as.

To Skunder:
O.o this actually turned out to be a serous discussion lol
For me its a couple of things.

I could say I'm just use to it due to formality but that is only partially true.

I sign out with my real name to some of my clan members and friends so they know what it is. Kind of like a step to get more personal. Two heroes sharing their real identities I guess (even though I act more like a villain half the times).

Then there are times I do it followed by a title to show a certain prominence like;

Lucid-Naz
Founder of Lords of the Hunt
(yeah yeah, showing off)

@Grunge, that is a keen idea
Ha ha, the signing off is totally redundant, no matter how many words you type in your post to back the idea )
