something like:

Reputation: 10
We got a quest for you! A warrior of the empire[10] is coming to inspect the Gem mine (Blooming Glade) quick! - go there and ambush him. bring back the "Letter to the high priest of the empire" so we know when and where to send our thief group to intercept the Great mage's caravan.

Payment: 398 gold


plus you will get 1 point to TG just like in MG

Sounds good. Maybe have these quests accessible from Silent Hill in order to move players out of Yellow Lake. :)

Players would need to accept and then go back to SH to turn in their quests.

TG3 (thief leader's trust) would be required. (the leader now trusts you to do quests)
TG6 would enable new more difficult quests. (as an experienced thief and veteran of thief quests you can now do advanced quests)

Advanced quests (TG6) would have a chance to give some sort of special thief art, X free rentals of special thief arts from Thief Leader, etc. (regular thief arts are level 6; by the time you reach TG6 players are much higher level and gotten the great TGI reward. So what's a high level player with gold (from selling TGI) need? Special arts. Minimum combat level 13 [just because there's no level 13 shop arts].)

TG7 would give some sort of special series of quests, which upon completion would enable:
a.) the player from being ambushed by other players who have lower TG than them. (experienced thieves should be able to avoid inexperienced thieves)
b.) when traveling the player can reverse ambush other thieves (who are waiting for ambush) with lower TG than them.
c.) overall faster traveling, 3min travels take 2min, etc.
d.) choice of only 1 of the above or gives player all of the above.

TG8 get to choose another option from above, get new options to choose/add, or get better versions of the above options.

TG9 ditto.

TG7-9: get new quests each TG level. (call them expert thief quests?)

Good idea, especially for those who can never get a TGI now. But we all know admins will never implement this :(

But here's the catch,: The chances of getting thief tasks from the Mercenaries' guild will be low (around 7% or so) This way, the non TGI players can still have a chance of increasing their thief guild levels and admins won't lose their main source of income.


Unless you were aiming the suggestion at players who already have a TGI to begin with?

back-topic: I think thieve guild is something like 'dark side'..opposite of MG.so let say :

We got 1 mission for you..'Farmer' is on our bounty lists..he is located at 'Great Capital'..

so we would face a farmer tht with mass hp or stat..with small body guard with it

I fail to see how you get this idea. How would admins lose their income? Because you think that the only reason players want TG is for TG points and not for the experience of ambushing?
Also at the rate of 7%, players can pass quests for 10hrs/day to get a thief quest per day (or 5 hrs/day per thief quest if 10 rep). Given 600 points for TG5 players can get a TGI after 20 months (10 months if merc guild has 10 rep). Currently players need to have over 1 million gold to enter TG and spend many months (years) to reach TG5.

I have to agree with moro88 with the TG being a little opposite to MG. I'm also in favor of using SH as the base of operations to get and turn in thief quests. Players need to get out of YL.

Pretty much, yep :)

That 7% is just a random number. It could even be as low as 1% ii you think that'd make it fairer. And those 'thief quests' would be ambushes, not normal MG quests. I was trying to expand on a misunderstood version of the first post :(

That's actually my fault, I misread Ghost_Face's initial post. I thought that he meant for the new thief quests to be open to all players (wishful thinking...)

Do you really think there'd be anyone who would want it enough to waste 10-20 months like that? Would be easier enrolling to buy the actual TGI. And it's not like the players doing 'thief quests' will win all the time ;)
1) I don't agree with giving the quests in the Merc's guild with a low fixed percentage. What about thieves who really want to do those quests? What then?
My suggestions:
1a) Make the chance of those quests coming up be a formula, i.e. 2^n, where n is your thief guild level.
1b) Make the chance of those quests coming up in the Mercs guild be a really low number, but make it possible for those quests to come in the thief guuild at 100% chance.
2) Agree with Pantheon. The quests should come from the thieves guild, so that people won't camp at YL all the time. There should also be a reputation, and like all other things, get harder each time you complete them.
3) Yes I agree that thief quests should be for theives only. Why else would you want to do thief quests if you're not a thief?
4) And I agree with the following type of quests: 'Farmer' is on our bounty lists..he is located at 'Great Capital'.., except I think instead of face a farmer tht with mass hp or stat..with small body guard with it, I think we should face a farmer with it's original stats, only 1 stacks, but with very strong bodyguards. Farmer has all of the following: Immunity to range attacks, and double immunity to magic attacks (200%) - this is to prevent piercing, and immunity to hero attacks.
This will also actually give wizards a challenge against neutrals.

so this wouldn't make the admins lose money :)
I meant that if it was a thief only thing, which is what I understood the OP to mean, then it would make buying a TGI even more tempting to people.

i was thinking does this game must have a TGI? when you get your TGI higher level you can feel the combo lost of ambush..so whats the difference having a TGI and don't have a TGI :)

in real world you can't own EVERYTHING too..if you don't have something that you very wanted for..just bear with it..don't post your anger here and your childish opinion
