I enjoyed playing Demon at around level 10 but was "persuaded" that they are not so good in PvP at higher levels.
Still play it every so often for fun though and found it very good for quick battles. Win or lose it was usually over very soon ;)
I found them great for conspiracy quests & hit and run hunts but I did find that quite a few hunts & MQs which were easy as necro were very hard as demon so it can be hard to switch to them and level up faction level.
I assume that others dont choose demon as the have heard similar.
#3 What do Elf vs DE have to do with a question about demons? 78% of statistics are just made up to prove a point which is often wrong in the first place. No I mean 92% are made up. In fact I am wrong again, it is 98% so I must be right as I quoted a percentage? |

i dont agree with u skuwak many ppl taking elves is because of their ranged damage and initiatives. so after hitting by elves in up to level 5 battles many ppl is choosing new faction as elves.
and for knight yes u said is correct its a first faction and many ppl like to choose it( and hero is also smarter than others). and experienced ones also taking them bcoz of their strenth and variable abiliies. good in ranged and meele.
and for dark elves many ppl choosing it bcoz they have troops of good strength(unlike wizards)and magic too. i dont know after level 7, but up to level 7 every one knows what is the impact of magic arrow in battles.
to enjoy much in battles elves are good choice bcoz their chances are first and they can hit any troops with ranged from start. |
Why are there so few demons ?
i guess, they dont have Variety like other factions.
only good talent built is offense, other are not good i believe.
because i hardly seen dark or chaos Demon.
also they dont look good, all creatures are looking RED .
need to be attractive for a newbie to choose a faction. |

Skuwak was talking about new players that have no knowledge of the game at all. How would they know if elf's shooters are good? How wouls they know that elfs have shooters at all?
I think Skuwak answered the question.
Also, most people might not choose demon because they associate demons with evil, or because they are not confortable playing as a demon because of their religion. But i say it's just a game, so enjoy all the factions! :) |
Demon was fairly boring first 2 lvls (had a demon alt). With wolves and succubi it got more interesting, but at lvl 10 these cerbs made it really yummy.
I really enjoy(ed) demon for thieving at lvl 10+. |

I think new players mostly choose a faction they made good experience with in other games. And since in nearly every fantasy game there are elves and/or dark elves, those factions are mostly chosen.
In my opinion demons aren't bad at all, but many ppl associate them with bad. |

Necromancers 12.1%
Wizards 13.1%
Elves 20.5%
Barbarians 12.3%
Dark elves 17.4%
Demons 8.5%
^^ Does this not reflect the faction people are currently playing and not what they registered as?
I assume that the majority of players are between level 6 - 9 (many stop playing then due to lack of gold etc), and at these levels the 3 top ones are probably strongest in a lot of situations so are more common.
Personally I would not put much faith in such figures and think in reality they cloud the actual situation and dont give worthwhile information. |
