As far as I have seen firegaara and hpsim..whenever i cast the spell no changes in opponent stats takes place... are there are creatures who arent affected? |

yes, creatures like sprites, whose damage is 2-2 aren't affected because thier max damage cannot go lower then thier min damage, but swordsmen, whose damage is 2-4, are affected because their max damage can decrease without going lower then thier min damage. If you cast basic darkness level curse on swordsmen(50% reduction), then instead of them dealing 2-4 damage, they deal 2-3 damage. |
creatures whose min and max damage are the same are not affected.

Creatures with abilities such as "immune to magic" or "lode coated" etc are not effected.
The reason you may not see effect in battle is because with 0sp the effect only lasts 0.5 turns?? |
