Yes you will have one lower Faction level. I think it is well worth it in these battles, since the enemies appear to have very high faction skill level. Yes, it is a valid idea to use it if you wish to build a faction with lower fsl. Just make sure you have the full castle since the battles are difficult ;)

There may be some form of dynamic balancing. Some players are reporting battles with huge numbers of troops, others are reporting regular troops for their level. After another day, we might be surer.

Can I drink tavern potion and still enter? Is it full shop only restrictions?
I am presuming so, and consequently have not taken my tavern drink, but the extra luck would be nice. |

2. Are the icons at the page only for those factions you haven't won? If so, I have 9 factions left after winning 9 out of 13 battles. Is this bad or good?
p.s.: I'm a lv 12 elf and having extreme difficulty with wizard and necromancer. Any suggestions? |

It's just a measure of how many battles we are winning and how many we are losing. It may have a function at the end of the event, but obviously we are aiming to beat Alec's squad, otherwise we fail the Empire ;)

Yes, they are the icons you haven't defeated. Each time you defeat one of those factions, they are removed from the list. Having 9 factions left isn't bad at all. The event will go on for 8 days, so 80 total battles which means you still have plenty of opportunities to kill those factions. |

I see some hope against necromancer but very little chance against wizard. Are they simply the nemesis of elves? :-) |
| You might need to change your talents, take offensive and defensive talents. Barrier gives you 20% magic shield, might be very useful against magic factions. |
You do not know in advance if you will have a magic opponent ;)
And if you are a necro, it costs 11 points -.- |

Yes but for an elf, it is cheap enough and could be a worthwhile strategy. While you don't know what type of enemy you will get, if you can narrow the list of opponents down and you are stuck on Wiz, then setting up to beat a magic opponent is probably a good idea. |
Any ideas on how to beat a necro at my level? :/
2 tries without a win :(
i have beaten wiz, elf, de, demon and all but normal necro is a big headache -_-
also i have beaten the alt necro, plz suggest? |

I imagine chaos DE would be better for defeating the knight classes. I don't know if it will work for barbs. |

Have you tried playing as chaos DE? You may have better luck facing the knights with a magic build. |

You might be better off with alt-knight - if a significant number of wardens survive the first round. Then mass evasion will protect you and you can shoot your enemy since you will have greater shooting power. I guess you could take max wardens + crusaders; then you should split wardens as much as possible so that your enemy wastes damage killing them. If there aren't too many stacks of skelly bows/liches, I think it will be pretty successful against might necro.
Keep in mind though, that this build will be weak against some builds. If the necro turns out to have a darkness build, it will be very hard to beat. |
i have twice encountered necros, both with darkness build,
they do mass confusion on me and the game is almost over at that time itself :s
any way to beat them?
i am using the build u used to win minor tournament :P
pretty useful won 6/6 with it but didnt encounter necro with that build, can i beat them with this build? |

The update to the event today made it so that the AI will try to counter your build. So if you are playing as holy, you are likely to continue getting dark necro. This is tough for you. If you lose enough of them you may get an easier opponent or another type of necro (might/nature).
Just give it a go. If it doesn't work, change a few things. Try might, try holy magic knight, try alt-knight, try battles with fewer/more rangers. Hopefully you find a strategy that works and you are able to beat the necro before the 80 battles are up. :) |

You will probably struggle to beat all faction/class types by sticking to one build. You need to evaluate whether you want to win more battles, or try to defeat all the factions/classes. If you want to try and beat the factions/classes I recommend you play some battles as chaos so you can beat those factions that you are unable to win against as a might DE. If you insist on sticking with your strategy as a might DE, then you might struggle. Be flexible and try different builds to succeed. |
ok but now then i have to still beat 13 fations (i only beat charmer elf, wizard, demon)
so it will be hard to beat the remaining factions with chos? |
