There should be Arctic or someone like him else the .com server really will fall ! |
|
Wonderla, I have to disagree on that.
Ok disagree on this point, but what about the reply that came on y question that are the elections really democratic? |
compare the game now to how it was ~5 years ago
I bet create a voting for it !
more votes to older one :D |
If so atleast give us the power to vote our admins and mods.
Normally I would vote a +1, without any hesitation, but take a look on this thread, we've 5 voting against mods, but 4 of them are 100% based on what will be best for a particular player and screw the rules and the others.
Only one vote seems to have any kind of reasoning, which means a better selection of mods, and somekind of guidance to try to avoid mistakes and fix wrong decisions.
So we've 80% of people who will definitely do even worse as the currently staff.
We still have one person who is here only because his friend is involved and another which is making stuff without any single evidence nor proof.
So yeah... I don't thurst power on kid's hands.
I think the best way to solve any problem is with dialogue, it work on most developed countries on the entire world. |
And one more thing, I had been posting rules that are being violated by a particuler post in many threads since mods were very slow, and then I got a message from a mod (W___) to stop posting pointless messages everywhere. So my question here is, if mods say rules are pointless things, why should we abide by them? |
I bet create a voting for it ! more votes to older one :D
for Optimus Prime: You are right, Even I liked the old one :D |

I think we should really go for it !
Then the admins may understand we want someone like arctic to handle game |

In regarding to Events - current is better
In regarding to players activity and interaction in forums, chats etc. , friendly behavior - old one was better |
The process is democratic, it goes something like this:
A discussion is held about how undermanned the moderator clans are.
Then we discuss possible candidates that we have observed assisting in the forums (which is why if a person wants to be a moderator, we encourage them to be active in the community and helpful to other players).
A topic will later be made. The process has changed over the years, but normally involves a long list of questions (normally based on a combination of game knowledge and proper decision making in the forums).
The questioning process cuts down the applicants quite a bit, then the applicants that are left are discussed at length by the moderators. Normally the people who are left over are only excluded if they have taken very negative actions (intentional cheating, starting fights in the forum on a regular basis etc.)
Then as you may know, trial periods and training start. As nice as a democratic vote with all the players in the game would be, it isn't viable (at least not at this point). Being popular shouldn't be a reason to become a moderator, and the current process ensures that doesn't happen. |
Democratic election of moderators might mean that you end up with a team full of kids. I think the current system of appointment is fine.
I think that the moderation itself is not an issue - The excess amount of rules are the issue. Forum rules need to be very much simplified. There should not be 10 different rules for every section of the forum and rules such as long-string being a specific number of characters need to be removed. As it stands, the moderators are moderating by the rules.
Yes the administration we have do not speak much English. That means no it is not very likely that they are looking at the ideas and suggestions section of the forum. Yes there are a large number of complaints that need to be dealt with in C&A - But does it matter if they are dealt to promptly? In the end, many of the cheaters and rule-breakers get the punishment. As long as you are able to make the complaint, then it should be good enough that it will eventually be dealt with.
Moderators and Sages etc. don't tend to blacklist players for no reason. Any player is welcome to my inbox until they send me a begging mail or spam it, then I may consider black-listing.
Complaints can be made about moderator actions; perhaps Secretary might not be the best option if you are hoping for a response. If you send a message to the staff department character (Forums - Pang, Q&H - Edwin, Chat - Eclipse) then they are likely to pay attention. Each one of those characters will receive the complaint and deal with it. So even if you don't see something physically being done, understand that we have our hidden official forums and the issue has likely been dealt with.
Even with this thread, we will look at the comments you have made and see whether we can do anything to change or be more accomodating. |
Actually the rules gives almost all the powers to the MoDs becoz illegality may come in any form on any type of topic and... The rules are termed to be used only when there is something really wrong with the posts... but most of the Mods currently act like Robot they just go through the rules and go one closing forum and banning player and now its like what ever we post on forum we get banned or warned. |
+1
Most of Pravins created topics were trolling. For example 'My Real Character', 'Pravins gold', 'Text Art' etc. All the time you was acting like a forum troll and now on the 1st of April created normal topic. :)
I agree that there are a lot of rules but they are on purpose to keep forum tidy :) |
Flashmobs are events when a player or a group of players post multiple messages of similar content
E__e banned me for posting flashmobs in our flooders' thread, correct ban that was.
But in Ideas and suggestions, why doesn't this rule apply? Everyone posts a "+1" for more than 2-3 pages and my posts were just 1 page |
for Wonderla:
stop using the censored name. One can easily guessed who they are by referring to the forum mods clan.
I think we should stop now before the topic becomes admins and players disintegration[/quote |
Wonderla, there is a certain amount of discretion used. That's the important thing about having humans moderating the forums. Exceptions are made where exceptions make sense, and in I&S a "+1" does make sense.
If you feel a mistake was made, contact a member of the team and the decision will be reviewed and the rules may even be changed. Rule changes have happened before in similar circumstances. |
rules may even be changed
Yes I want that, I am not saying any mod did wrong by banning me, he did correct,I am saying that if there is no condition added to a rule, it should apply equally on all forum branches. A condition must be added that the flashmobs' rule doesn't apply on Ideas and suggestions |
The forum moderators are actually looking for rule breakers like hunters..
They should read a post and if they really feel it is bad they can ban
But they just want to ban anyone they see breaking little rule
Suppose someone puts by mistake four consecutive dots they will ban him... |

Really True, this is what I am trying to convey |

Actually this thread is a giant rule breaking, including everyone who posted here, including me and mods itself. This is not the exactly place to debate and explainning stuff, following the rules...
It's kind unfair to demonize people, when all your want is things being made by your only way, and take profits of everything... |
