Only real problem with mage FD was no sorcery, and, very weak against DoF FD. But if people stop DoF FD, wooot. |

I think it's selective? When safeguarding shooters and shrews the troop actually fight. If you're safe guarding golems gargs or zombies they just wait. Although saving shrews are harder since they can easily venture out into open territory for fast moving troops like rocs or others to kill.
If your Liz hadn't taken out those rocs. It'd be game over for you there |

I think only they only move/fight in the old vangaurds(admins released new ones not long time ago in which they just wait/defend)
