Consider a case where enemy unit can damage 10-20 my unicorn, when I have 0 faction resist again that faction.
1)Now I have 3% faction resist against same enemy so will I get (10-19 damage) or (10-20) or (9-19) damage?
actual damage -> 9.7-19.4

9 - 19.
3% is overall reduction on the final damage figure. |
By 9 - 19, I'm asserting to 9.7 - 19.4. |
That means whatever be the damage value(decimal/float), it is always approximated to the next lower integer? |
I think the question boils down to how they round figures
9-19 - always round down
10-20 always round up
10-19 - round following normal rounding rules
I cannot see a definitive account of someone being able to evidence which is right - to me I cannot distinguish opinion and views rom what is "known" to be correct

That last message I think provides the most info where Arctic (and therefore can be taken as correct) says
"Damage is in decimals, but is displayed in integer.
6.8~8 may be the actual damage value."
so you will do 9.7 -19.4 - what it shows I guess therefore doesn;t matter so much (other thif they end up on 1 hp!) |
By experience, I believe it is 10-19 - round following normal rounding rules
